I was wanting to check which 1TB HDD (or larger) you guys are using in your PS3. I've seen in the past that some 1TB or larger drives had issues fitting in the drive space, so just want to double check. I slapped a 500gb drive in a couple years ago, but with joining PS+ and all the games for that program, you go through storage real quick. After shuffling some movies and music to an external drive, I have about 150gb left, but with the upcoming games, that will go away real quick. Also, it's nice to keep all of my movies on the same drive and have them at my finger tip.

Thanks.

I'm not sure what you mean by larger but as long as you use a laptop 2.5 in hard drives, you can use it for the PS3. I know people that have 1 TB for their PS3. I use an SSD hard drive but am about to switch to a 750 GB HDD

I remember a while back some people had issues with certain HDD over 500gb properly fitting in the slot fo the drive. I guess some HDDs were ever so slightly bigger in physical size. I was thinking of possibly going 1.5TB.

I have a 1 TB HDD in my PS3 and I can't imagine having anything less in it anymore. I won't use all of it, but knowing that I don't have to worry about making room for new PS Plus games and other digital buys is amazing.  I personally have a Toshiba HDD in mine because there was a good deal on it. As long as the drive is 2.5 you are god to go!

I was considering getting one, but since we're so close to the PS4 it doesn't really seem worth it at this point unless I can find one really cheap (as in $50 or less). Personally I think 500 is a great overall size and I'm not even close to filling it up. Since everything you DLed is located in your history list and you can re-DLed it at any time, there's no reason to ever have every thing you've ever DLed on your HDD at once. Simply delete what you're not currently using to make room for the new stuff.
