[QUOTE="RTUUMM"]Thanks for the old, very old news. Everyone knews about this since July. Everyone was hype for it until we found out that you have to pay a monthly fee to play online.kr8to
seriously? i think that might be a rumor
It is but there is a high chance it could be true and if it is not many people here would buy it and thats why people don't like to talk about cause it would make them angry again that they would have to pay extra for it.

I don't see an issue with paying for it, so long as the price is reasonable. I think PSN spoiled us a bit. Not EVERY game is going to be free. I would gladly pay for a game that brings fresh excitment to MMO games.
lol i know its a little old but until yesterday i didnt have a gamespot account :Pkr8to
oh ok, that makes sense then.
you're forgiven :)
I don't think I should have to pay to play online cause when developer's make a game they add online and anything they want so you can actually buy the game. I can understand why a game like M.A.G would charge a monthly fee if its gonna be entirely online with the intent to make it as big as an MMORPG, but to buy a game and play a small 6 hour campaign and then pay extra to be able to play online is a dirty trick to me. People are paying for the internet service already anyways.Zidaneski
Yea but the money people pay to the ISP doesn't go back to the developer for things like server upkeep to keep the online experience satisfactory.

MMOs simply cost too much to make and just sell retail. They NEED to charge monthly to pay for the huge cost of maintainance, balancing, updates, growth, etc. and still make a profit.
The question is, how is MAG going to be structured?
If it going to be lobby based like COD4? Or open dynamic world like WOW?
If it's lobby based, then at worst, we'll probably see cash shops and the game will be free to play.
But if it's an open world, then it could very well be pay to play.
I haven't heard any info on the game since E3 though, So I couldn't say.
If they do make it a MMO and P2P, then they'll have to add a LOT of content to keep customers satisfied.
I'm saying is that these guys will have to do their homework. Try to get every piece of tactical (and even not tactical) gear they can find, including weapons and equipment.
It's not pointless. WoW is the most successful game ever made, and it is not a free game, nor is it free to play.either its a free game with monthly subscription or its free completely like warhawk!
or this game is pointless to be made
