3.00 anyone's ps3 freezing more frequently than usual?

Yes! I am glad I am not alone. I have noticed this too. It has to be 3.00, I don't believe that coincidence stuff.

before 3.00 it only freezes when i have internet and music at the same time, now it freezes like crazy. i seriously thinks if this keeps up my ps3 i might have to get a 3rd ps3

I've played Batman: AA and watched the full season of Sons of Anarchy on Blu-ray with no problems.

Sadly, mine is freezing more than ever :(... It froze up 3 times in about 30 minutes.

I hope Sony fixes this soon.

does batman pause a little after you press start in the main menu?

batman freezes for me at that point and i had to completely format my hard drive to fix it. but it still pause at that part.

No freezes yet for me. I even played a few minutes of Uncharted but I didn't want to push my luck so I stopped after a couple of fights.

Dang that sucks! I havent had a problem thus far.

I would recommend starting some sort of petition on the PS official forums, im sure thats been done though.

mine did that right b4 the death of my 60 gig...im a proud owner of the 120 slim and no freezes to date!...and compared to the 60 gig wow it runs much quieter:)

nope mine hasn't frozen since the sacred 2 patch came out a while back..

my ps3 always starts to freeze alot during cod4 but now im gonna trade it in dont wanna damage my ps3 and usually cant resist temptation

Since I updated to 3.00 a few weeks ago i've had 3 freezes then my PS3 died, 40GB model if that makes any differance, trying to find the cash to send it in for a repair.

Some grim news in this thread. I have a Slim 120gb PS3 and it's frozen once in a month, I believe. I sometimes have to reset my game on UFC '09 because it cannot fight a server but I don't think it actually freezes.

It's probably dirty discs and not the 3.0 update.

Mine has froze a few times but nothing major.

Mine hasn't frozen at all.. i heard a lot about this freezing issue with uncharted and that 3.01 hasn't helped a lot of people.. i hope it works fine for me because i want to play through it before Uncharted 2 comes out..

But yeah, my system has not frozen in a very long time..

My PS3 freezes now all the time when I use the internet and I have to press and hold the power button on the front until the PS3 beeps and turn off, but other then that it doesn't freeze during games or anything else so far.

Well my froze yesterday on two games darkwatch(PS2) and MUA2(PS3). The MUA2 problem was fine when I restarted it but the darkwatch still frozed. I just bought the game from gamestop this Sept. so I got another copy today so I will see if it is just something to do with my BC with that game. I have the 80gb BC model so it could be an issue with software emulation. Though the MUA2 freeze does scare me a little. Well good thing I have an extended warranty from Target as I would get a slim if it failed. Also, since I have another BC 80gb that I only use for DVD and Bluray I could still play PS2 games. Well I hope this is just due to the 3.00 updates as I hope that Sony's productsare more reliable than just over a year.

I have 2 PS3s a 60GB and a 80GB one for me and my wife. And non of us have experienced any kind of freezing since 3.00. In fact in the 3 years we have owned our systems, non of us has ever had a freezing issue and we play alot of games for long periods of time.
