5 must-play PS4 Pro games

Apologies if this has been covered but struggled to find anything on the search.

I've just bought a PS4 Pro for a good deal and will be pairing it up with a 4K HDR. I've always played PC games when I have the time & haven't owned a console since the PS2, but due to a bad back, desk sitting isn't agreeing with me anymore. I now have a couple of weeks to myself (wife and kids seeing family) so I've taken the plunge.

I'm after 5 games that you think are must-plays. I think 5 will keep my busy for quite a while :)

I've read tonnes of reviews but looking to supplement my research so far with unbiased opinions. Ideally I'd like at least 3 to really showcase the 4k/HDR but also happy to get games that are simply too good not to play, regardless of whether they take advantage of the Pro's power.

PC games I've played on PC that I won't consider buying again are Witcher 3, FIFA, Assassin's Creed. Info much appreciated. Thanks all.

I assume your Pc has pretty bad specs if you want to replay PC games on a console?

Horizon zero Dawn, God of war, Last of us remastered, uncharted collection, uncharted 4, bloodborne etc

I got my fill of Witcher 3 & the other games on a 980Ti on 1440p, so do not want to buy the same games I played on PC.

@Gamerno6666: That's great. Some of those did come up in my research so great to see them mentioned. I think God of War, Uncharted 4 and Horizon Zero Dawn are must-buys at this point.

What do you think of CoD: WW2 (never played a CoD) and Shadow of Colossus? Thanks again.

@el-terrible: Shadow of the Colossus is great. It is one of my favorite game ever.

Can't say much about COD tho. I gave up on the series after Black ops. Tho i have Black ops 3 which got free with PS+ but I am not eager on playing it.

As for games: It really depends on what you like to play. Most multiplats will look better on your 980Ti, so you should focus on exclusives. Some good suggestions like Uncharted 4, God of War or Horizon were already made.

One none so far mentioned is Ratchet and Clank. Since it is so colorful, it looks really great in HDR

@ArchoNils2: Thanks for that. I don't mind exclusives or even great games I haven't played yet even if they do look a tad better on the 980Ti, mainly due to my back.

I'll have to check out Ratchet and Clank, hadn't heard of it. My list so far is looking like:

Then two from Bloodborne, CoD WW2 or Shadow of Colossus :)

Life is Strange ( Most underrated Ps4 title imo)

HellBlade Sacrifice

Uncharted 4

Fifa 18 ( Only for Messi :P )

& Resident Evil 7 ( Must play for the PSVR) - Scary as hell.

Definitely recommending Horizon Zero Dawn but I'll try to list games that haven't been mentioned yet:

- Gravity Rush Remastered & Gravity Rush 2

- Persona 5

- Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age

- Monster Hunter World(Is available on PC but you said you don't want to sit at desk too much these days lol)

@el-terrible: Don't get CoD, you'll regret it, there are lots of other FPS games that vary in their gameplay.

@GTR12: Thanks for this. I had heard many mixed things. Do you have a recommendation for your fave FPS, one for campaign and the other for multi-player? Thanks for the advice.

I think the Far Cry series is vastly underrated. A lot of activities to choose from.

Rainbow Six Siege is incredibly fun for me (Terrorist hunt mode is a blast)

And Titanfall 2 has a great campaign.

These are some great choices, there's also a bunch of F2P games on the store, and then you have a free weekend next week for Overwatch, a multi-player ONLY game.

Its called an FPS, but that's because there isn't a category for the game, its a team-based kill 'em up, you MUST work and communicate as a team or you will die.

I'll add a point to Bloodborne on your list, a must play.

To get started + I'm sure by now you must have a few games though. But if Not I'd say

1. The Division
2. GTA 5
3. Uncharted(Any of them)
4. Last of Us
5. Spiderman(You might as well get one new game that's coming out soon)

GT Sports.

The game was made for HDR. first turn off HDR and play for some time, then turn on HDR. World of differences.

Horizon Zero Dawn. This game pops on a 4k tv.

The Last of Us. My all time favorite.

Uncharted games. The Uncharted Collection is pretty cheap these days, but honestly I only suggest them because they will lead you story wise to Uncharted 4 and Uncharted The Lost Legacy. Excellent games.

Someone suggested Gravity Rush games. Graphically they are okay, but are a ton of fun. Once you learn how to control the gravity you will soar through the skies. I don't recommend if you have vertigo issues though lol

Persona 5. Great RPG and is very long. If you like turn based rpgs then get this.

Oh and Spiderman. Definitely Spiderman.

If talking games only on PS4 and not Vita, PS3, Xbox or PC...So not like Persona 5, Yakuza, TLoU, Kingdom Hearts, Drake Collection, Bloodborne, Nier Automata, Crash, etc.

I got my Pro for The Last Guardian cause waited forever for it, and have enjoyed others games I found after, and really only played exclusives cause that is all I need from it as well:

Well, since game prices are always falling once they are released, I wouldn't bother getting all five right now.

I'd pick up

1. Uncharted 4

2. Bloodborne

3. Horizon Zero Dawn

They are going for cheap now. And they will keep you busy and are must plays. Once you have finished that, it's almost certain that.

4. God Of War

5. Spiderman

Will have fallen in price.

With the little time I have these will keep me busy but I think Bloodborne, Persona 5, The Last of Us are definitely on my list.

A few mentions for Far Cry 5 are interesting. I've played 3 which I liked, but heard 4 was very similar. Is 5 much better?
