Unless you're a collector and want the OG ps3 avoid it they're more prone to breaking down, I bought my OG from a buddy about two years ago and she's still running like an old F-150 STRONG.FightingfanIt is said they are more prone because the CPU and GPU run a lot hotter than the newer. Anyway it is just about luck and the way the owner have been using it, like having pace for ventilation and so on. Anyway i would go with a brand-new one. I recently got a 320gb models and it runs great. You can't hear any louder high pitch noise like some of the 120gb systems.
Any back alley in NY.dang where can i get one of this at - 120 gb ps3 slim (199.99) ?

Get the 120GB. If you need more space it works out cheaper to buy a hard drive and swap them than to buy the 320GB. Plus you get another hard drive :P
Yeah get the slim , it's cuter(but bad a$$ at the same time:P) , smaller so it fits almost everywhere and it's eco friendly( or something like that:)) And as for PS2 games , you can play those on your ps2 , my cousin has his PSone PS2 and PS3 consoles all on the same TV(don't ask me how he does it:))
