OK, I managed to get my hands on a 60 gig PS3 recently. Whenever I try to play a PS2 game, there is no video displayed on my TV, but I can hear thge sound. I'm running my PS3's video through HDMI. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, WTF?

Try holding your finger on main power on/off for 5 seconds from standby and you should hear a series of 2-3 beeps to say that you're resetting your PS3.Then you'll get option to use the HDMI cable detected and should be ok from here on.

Mines a 60GB and plays PS 1+2 games through the HDMI just fine.

I also have a 60 GB model, and I haven't had any trouble playing PS1 or PS2 games. I play FFx and Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2, and my girl in playing God of War 1 & 2 without any issues.
