60GB ps3 not in warrenty

hi all i was wondering if i can still buy extended warranty for my ps3 from best buy or future shop.....my ps3 is out of the 1 year warranty from sony so now i want to buy extended warranty just to be on the safe side....my ps3 is used and i dont have the receipt anymore......and i live in Canada....thanx

I believe you can only buy an extended warranty at Future Shop and Best Buy 30 days or less after the purchase of your PS3. Also, you need some kind of proof of purchase.

so this means no warrenty for me :(

i have a 20 gig and my warrenty expired last feb. so i guess you need to do what i have to do cross your fingers that you will not have to pay another 400 bucks for a ps 3. i think all systems shouls have unlimited warrenty or as long it is being produced just you need after a year pay evn 100 bucks i would be happy to fix it. no one should ever have to buy more than one console each gen. yea i believe that they need to charge to fix but never they should need to pay full price.GARRYTH
