8 tracks for Motorstorm??

How about we look at facts? I know that Americans haven played Evolution's previous games nut between '02 and '05 they have put out 5 games with 115 (5min+) tracks each (14 countries with 8 to 9 completely different tracks each) and their WRC series has been regarded as the very best in its genre because the high quality tracks  and car physics.

At no time has the people at Evolution been secret about their tactic when it came to Motor Storm, they have always told how they focus on a few high quality tracks with high replayability and wouldn't add cars unless they were played differently than the other cars already in the game while not screwing up the balance.
Imagine how hard it's balancing tracks and so widely different vehicles so one has a chance to win no matter what one drives compared to the competition.

Motor Storm's replayability is not from numbers but from how differently the vehicles handles, deformable terrain and the tactics of the competition. Not forgetting the time of day, how the angle of the sun interacts with the gameplay.

Out of GT4's 41 tracks I can only name 12 worth playing more than once (Grand Canyon, Chamonix, Cathedral Rocks II, Costa di Amalfi, George V Paris, El Captain, High-Speed Ring, Autumn Ring, Nürburgring, Nordschleife, Suzuka, Circuit de la Sarthe) where the rest feels like rushed rehash low budget trash made by a less qualified dev team (some tracks were even better in GT3) and only very few tracks are even close to 10min.

Have people already forgot all the fun they claimed to have with the tracks in the demo?

I feel 100% ensured that people who complain about MS "only" having 8 tracks are peoples who haven't had enough interest in the game to even look into what it's about.

Maybe people should keep in mind that Motor Storm takes up 18GB highly compressed data.

If you'll check most review sites (including GS)... they say the same thing, this is the best racer anyone has played so far

Gears of war only has 8 multiplayer maps (before pack) so i dont get whats so bad, the tracks are bigger? Well then isnt it possible different races can be reversed or different routes (It is known that there are many different routes around a track) so who really cares, the events are different and in all the reveiws and pre-veiws so far i havent heard one moan.

I guess anyone who isn't a blind zealot for Sony is a 'troll' now.  Sorry, I don't agree that Motorstorm is a great game.  Get over it.

Most of my posts here have been correcting the misinformation that you guys spew out on a daily basis.  Funny how everyone was jumping on the 'omg troll, it doesn't have 8 tracks' bandwagon and now it's 'omg troll, 8 tracks is plenty because they're XOXB 360 HUEG!!!'

its all good mate. i do think tekken is s.. but didnt kno it is only 17 bucks, so im getting it anyways.

It's a bit disappointing, but if they are wide and varied (with routes aplenty) it should still be a fantastic gameDanC1989

How about finding a thread where I 'troll' someone. The fact that I'm not really excited about VF5 or Motorstorm does not mean I'm a troll. Infact, I think it probably makes me more realistic than most of you.

... Virtual Fighter is a good fighter, but not really my cup of tea. I prefer fighters like Soul Calibur, Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom, etc. If the PS3 version supported online play, I would probably snatch this up, but it doesn't. So I'll just wait a few more months for the 360 version to come out with Live support. Single player in fighting games usually feel like an exercise in frusturation to me.

yah ther might only be 8 tracks but ther are also ALOT of cars to choose, from and different types or races. also the cars and the 8 tracks are all in great detail. soo it still will be awesome
