Hmm, the only thing that I have heard sony is making is a media center with a 200 disk blu-ray disk changer. (Added link for your reading pleasure)

hats funny becuase I heard about that rumor months ago, but like everyone else said, I really doubt that is going to happen. First off it would be pointless to make a system with twice the power, since they would still have to make games based on the standard ps3 specs. Thus for you would never need that extra power.

umm think about it...3 hdmi ports??? you only need 1. its ok for a tv to have 2 or 3 hdmi ports because you can connect 2 or 3 divices without having to change all the time but i dont see why you would need 3 of them 1 is enough for anyone........ you arent by any chance talking about that ps3 elite joke?

is it white????

does it play cd's in 1080p????

does it have an overheating cpu????

can it see through time?

if so then it was just a funny joke this wont be coming true just a joke

They can do another one but not to add more power or anything like that...

If their new PlayStation TV European adaptor does very well, it may be possible for Sony to make an "all-in-one" PS3 that has the PlayStation TV hardware included and nothing more. If is successful, that would be a very good move for them, if not, they will continue selling the adaptor separated.

The same way PS2 started with an external "network adapter" and ended with all this harware included on the Slim PS2, Sony will always be changing their hardware.

I think they will do changes with time, but not like "doublilng the power".

You say the ps2 ended up with all the hardware inside of it, yet MS is getting flamed for possibly doing the same thing... and the the reply earlier I thought the ps3 could already see through time after all it uses "CELL TECHNOLOGY" ahhhhh. /ends sarcasm.

LOL! 3 HDMI ports? are you serious? do you even know what HDMI is? A tv might have 3 HDMI ports but the ps3 is only connecting to 1 tv, not 3!!!!!

Plus twice the power!!! What would be the point? they could not use any of it as other ps3's could not use it.

The funniest but though is the price! $2500, who is going to pay that! I thought £425 was enough to pay for my ps3.

Honestly the rubbish some people believe, honestly is this a joke?

ya that doesn't relaly make sense. Where would the market be, they are having enough trouble selling at the current price point (even though they seem to have hit a break through). On top of the developers would not fully utilize the system, why pay $2500 for a system that plays the exact same games at teh exact same quality as a $400 system.

Considering how bulky the current PS3 is that model would prolly weigh in excess of 195 pounds and require more re-enforced cardboard to package than nature could supply ( until we totally harvest the amazon ) so based on that fact alone... I say no. It will not happen.

No way its not true man, if you read it somewhere you should go and find the link so we can read it. But there is no its true, this would be a waste as they could not take advantage of it anyways when 8 mil people have the original product and they would have to make games that work on them, no, BOGUS!!!

Hey, it could happen, technology is getting crazier as we speak. They are already talking about a PS4 down the road. 3 HDMI ports? I don't see that happening, unless they make wireless HDMI adapters that can connect to multiple TVs in your house >.>

Actually Sony is making a new PS3 which can play all types of games and media format. It can play 360 games, it can play Wii games, it can play PC games, hell it can even play SNES games! ALL only for $2500, pretty cool huh?
