i know what you mean about the rumble. i hate when the games are reviewed and they mention that. if the consol doenst have rumble then it shouldnt mean points against it. i never hear a 360 game get points off for lack of motion sensing. its complete bssteve_89
Thats because motion sensing on a REGULAR controller is actually kinda hokey. I dont own a nintendo, but the whole wii mote thing is way way way WAY better than the sixaxis. If you are holding a conventional controller in your hands, your natural inclination will be to push buttons...thats the way its been for twenty years.Â
The reason why xbox wont get penalized for not having motion sensing is because thats a technology thats still in its infancy stage. Most developers are STILL trying to figure out how to implement it in a cool way in their games. On the other hand, rumble has become a staple in gaming. Like it was said before, in driving games its almost mandatory. Rumble is a feature that has gotten to be expected in a console.   Motion sensing is right now seen as a luxury item...and in Sonys case, its a luxory item that SEEMS like it was thrown in there at the last minute as a gimmick. You cant tell me that the whole sixaxis thing actually looks like something they really spent alot of time designing. They just put some motion sensors into a regular controller...thats all its ever gonna be.Â
Sony DID make a mistake. There is nothing wrong with putting motion sensing in the controller as long as they leave rumble in there. Personally, i think they had to take rumble out and scrambled to fill that void with motion sensing technology. Anyone with ANY common sense would leave both in there...especually since both features can be turned off in game. Why in the hell wouldnt you have both features? They didnt do that because they couldnt...then they tried to say that its because rumble is last gen. Well if you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you. And while we are at it, go ask some Wii owners if they are upset in any way that Nintendo included BOTH rumble and motion sensing. See what they say about it.Â
