I hear from alot of threads that the HDD quickly fills on the PS3. I recently bought a 60gb and the only game I have is RFOM. I was wondering how much space I would have left if all I use it for is game saves. I download demos but delete them afterwards and I don't have any other types of media on it.

I download almost every demo (excluding sports games) and keep it till I get the game. Also, I keep a large library of HD trailers. That said, my ps3 60gb hard drive finally filled up last thursday. Had it since January. Recently got Heavenly Sword, and got folklore yesterday, so that's three demos I can delete now. I'll probably need to get a larger drive by the end of the year.

You do know that you dont have to keep all of the demo's you download right? I keep them right now because I have lots of space on my 60GB still. But once the game gets old, why keep it when your getting rid of it to make room for full games? The only reason why I can see anyone needing a HDD larger than the 60GB is if you store movies and all kinds of music on it.

If you upgrade the new HDD needs to be a 2.5" SATA. You should probably stay with a 5400rpm one so it won't generate any more heat.

There is no specific expensive proprietary hard drive for the ps3. It is designed to hold any sata 2.5 notebook hard drive. Just go to Best Buy or something, go to the computer hardware section, and get the biggest one you can afford. Then make sure you back-up your saves and essential files on a flash drive or something. To swap hard drives, open the compartment on the side of the ps3. Remove the screw. switch drives. Reinstall the screw. close the compartment. The user manual that came with your ps3 should have all this in it.

Same, but im not close to filling my drive yet. But thats why. It comes from is having a billion free demos from the PS3 store. I get my backgrounds from just images I take thow. So my PS3 backround/wallpaper is either me and friends, or some model/babe. But yea, you can erase all those demos.

And how bad was that Stranglehold demo, ughh :(
