Nice! I am so glad, i am a big fan of the series

I think this is great. Obviously the developer feels that the PS3 has a large enough install base, or that the install base is growing fast enough to warrant the cost of porting the game. I just find it strange that when Devil May Cry went multi-platform, everyone saw it as a HUGE blow for Sony and it was the beginning of the end for the PS3. Now this happens and it's barely news.ghaleon0721That's because it isn't news. Sony losing Ace Combat as an exclusive, that's news. Why? Because it was on the platform for 12 years. The 360 losing it as an exclusive isn't news because it was never a 360 exclusive to begin with. Sure they may have announced it, but no Ace Combat game has ever been released as a 360 exclusive. You can't lose what you never had.

Titles like Ace Combat, and DMC are titles that are a associated with PS. Wich makes any news about them going to the competition pretty big. Now this announcement isn't because it was expected by virtually everyone. Just like Assasins Creed.
no, it was a xbox 360 exclusive, then today they say now its a "time exclusive"..i can dig up a very old article if u want. i do it at work later todaykenshin1stHow was it exclusive if no game was ever released? Ace Combat was a PS exclusive. There was never an Ace Combat game released exclusively for the 360. Therefore it was never exclusive.
It might have been announced, but you have to take announcements with a grain of salt.
I doubt it will have online play on the PS3. What is funny is that the series has been on the PS2 for so many years and did not get online play. Thanks to Xbox live this will be the first time the game will be online. This is hilarious. This series has always been a franchise for Sony. Lemmings are just happy to be able to play this game. The ownage wasn't in getting it exclusively. The ownage was in getting it on the 360 platform period! You cows know this to be true.

i didn't even know that it was an xbox exclusive O.o, but good news anyway this shows that 3rd parties are not willing to make exclusives for ANY of the next gen consoles, and don't say that dead rising is exclusive, we know that capcom will eventualy make it (or its sequel) for the ps3FireFalkonThe sequel might but the original wont. MS paid for the exclusive.

I wouldn't be so bold on that, let me remind you guys that RR7, a launch title had pretty well done Online Racing. This game could have online, it's Namco, they know how the netowrking is done..not like some of this stupid arse newbies (oh..we dont know, Sony's online plan scares me, pathetic dumb arse developers)

I agree, sure its great to have another game join PS3 but i've never really been too fond of the series.
[QUOTE="kenshin1st"]Did anyone think it would be Xbox 360 exclusive? Just hope that it has online play on the PS3 because I doubt it will. why wouldn't it? other third party games have online.http://www.diggingtheweb.com/41007737.html

lol, wow there's alot of people out there that don't what exclusive means. this game was never an exclusive to the 360, it was just annouced first for that console. Now if bioshock, mass effect, gears of wars or any games like that goes to the PS3, that would be losing an exclusive because those games are actually intended to be exclusive and was called that by microsoft and the publisher of the games, everybody needs to do research about that wordSmoothBrother1
You shouldn't talk big since you don't know that the chance of games that are published by MGS to end up on the PS3 is 0%

 wow. so announcements from the company who is developing/publishing the game have to be taken with a grain of salt? now that's some backpedeling there. Companies can't lie in announcements. Why? because those same announcements are sent to their investors and stock holders. There are only a very few companies who outright lie to their investors. and your arguement is "how can it be exclusive if no game was ever released?"....ok. then you can wipe Mass Effect, and all of the other "exclusive" games off the list because they haven't been released yet. oh, wait, have they been "announced" as exclusive? but didn't you just say you had to take those announcements with a grain of salt?[QUOTE="SmoothBrother1"]lol, wow there's alot of people out there that don't what exclusive means. this game was never an exclusive to the 360, it was just annouced first for that console. and maybe you shouldn't talk when you can't read a post all that well cause you have butter in your eyes. First off, I didn't say anything about Metal Gear so are you talking about MGS for? Second, Ace Combat starting on the Playstation until they decided to make the lastest one for the 360, so really Microsoft didn't lose anything, they just gained a new game for their library of games, really sony was the 1 that lost a exclusive this time around to be honest with you, but thats besides the point. Lastly, as far as me knowing the chances of a game going from 1 console to the other, if Microsoft and the games publisher says, "this game is exclusive to the 360" then I expect it to be an exclusive, so really I do have an idea of the percentage, it should be 100%. Any game that microsoft has said was an exclusive, has up until this point, stayed an exclusive, so next time you want to attack me, really think about it before you press the "submit" button.

I do remember Mass Effect being an established franchise on MS consoles for 12 years......Why i remember back in the day when I played Mass Effect on the Xbox 1. It was a truly fine game for it's time....:|Yes. You take anything that is said with a grain of salt until you see it on the shelf. That way you don't find yourself typing stupid petitions to Capcom crying that you don't want to buy their games anymore. Comprende?
What really amazes me is that you find it strange for me to be skeptical after all of the flip flopping these developers do. People thought Assassin's Creed was going to be exclusive to the PS3 turns out that's not happening. What about Mercenaries? That was "confirmed" exclusive too..It is foolish NOT to be skeptical.
Anybody that thinks corporate entites don't lie is seriously naive. Or dumb.

Hopefully this stops the crybabying and petition forming. Like people keep saying, 3rd party exclusives are no more.
That's a pretty lil sig ya got there Cyan. lol :P
Oh and yea, I'm hoping all the petitioning and crying stops as well. I held off on Blazing Angels expecting an AC title eventually. Now, I'm happy I made that decision.
well, its good news for ps3 owners and bad news for xbox fanboys. i think its both ways man, chill. kenshin1st
How is it bad for 360 owners. Never heard of the game & don't care a thing about it, also, I could have it on either system & won't be getting it for either. The only reason you say it won't be good for 360 fanboys is cuz you want them to care & get as upset as PS3 fanboys do. Reality, most 360 owners probably couldn't care less about this. If it were something like Halo, they would likely explode, but this game, sorry, not a big deal. Not bad news at all.

Did i say Xbox OWNERS? I said XBOX FANBOYS, it won't affect owners, the lay ppl don't give a crap about any industrial news. its good for ps3 OWNERS because all the lay ppl can now have a chance to play the game.
I never knew it was an Xbox exclusive in the first place. Isn't this the same Ace Combat series that came out for the PS2?--cause I have that game---not too bad, not great, but nothing mind blowing. or is this something different? I always thought this was a PS2 game.feryl06
I'm with this guy. All the time Ace Combat was on the Sony Playstation & Playstation 2. I would think it would show up on the PS3 as well. When did it become an XBox exclusive?
