Seriously, what the hell's the point of a handheld console if it's not portable? If you're going to just play it at home, then you might as well get a PlayStation 3 or something. Portability = outside, whether you like it or not. If it sucks to play it outside, then getting one that works is awesome. I'll use it for when I'm waiting for the bus, hanging out with friends outside, or when I'm just sitting outdoors enjoying the fresh air. I really do think this is worth the buy.

I would like the new screen, it's so annoying that you can't actually play on a PSP properly in long car journeys unless the weather is cloudy or dark, thats the most useful time to play it but I can't.

^^ I agree, if your with your friends put away the PSP and talk to them.

But as for the question, I do not think that the new screen is worth the new price, I don't really play my PSP outside as I'm usually doing something like sports or hanging with friends outside, not gaming. I play my PSP elsewhere, like my house or the car or waiting at a store or something like that, so glare really isnt a huge deal to me.

so your telling us you're getting this PSP.. so you can play it outside? I think sony is not being very smart with these PSP's, i mean where is that second analog stick. Haven't we been waiting LONG ENOUGH, and they come out with this PSP-3000.. no 2nd stick..

Okay, yes the LCD anti reflection screen is worth buying the psp 3000.... if you dont already have a psp.

I currently own a white slim psp, and yes it is annoying that you cant use it in the car, but the screen itself isnt enough to make me want to blow another £130 pounds on a psp. I think if Sony are going to bother bringing out a new psp, it needs more improvments than it has been given, okay so anti reflect screen is cool, high contrast is a luxuary, however the mic isnt really nessasary considering the games on the psp, and the lack of internet functions. Also, where is the seccond analog stick?!

Its going to take a lot more to make me buy a psp 3000 than it currently offers. Keep up Sony.

Regamer you and everyone demanding a second analog stick is an idiot. Think logically for once and not as a spoiled brat. The second analog stick will segregate the market. Point and final.

how would they come out with a second anolog stick? it makes no sense. what happenes to games that come out that require both anolog sticks and the people with the slim or phat can't play those games because they only have one anolg stick.

I can't play my PSP outside because it's not really nice whether everyday in UK. :P

The anti reflection screen is a good improvement, but I would have went for this PSP if there were more functions and improvements. They've added a mic, they're not really pushing the boat out here. I'll wait and see what the next PSP will have, for now it's the Phat for me :P

My main concern with the PSP-3000 is if it's going to use the same crappy battery as the PSP-2000?

Apparently, the battery life is going to be a bit shorter than the Slim which is a let down.

I heard this too, supposedly 30 minutes less battery time. They already shortened the battery life from the phatty to the slim, from about 5 hours to 4 hours of playtime. So now you get 3 1/2 hours? Plan to buy an extra battery, as it is I'm always running out of juice with my slim.

Yeah I know, if anything I'd have thought they'd want this PSP to have everything the last one has but better and longer, instead it turns out the slim has longer battery life which is a dispointment for someone who's going to buy it.
