After new update, I can't sign online...

I hit sign in and it just sits there saying "signing in" for like 2 minutes without doing so. Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm getting the same thing. I guess it wouldn't be a PS3 update if something didn't get messed up somewhere.

Also, I'm not really digging the change in look to the XMB...can you turn off the blur that happens with you do certain things?

This is why I always wait a few days before downloading firmware updates. Of course the servers just may be slammed in this case, but I just like to make sure everything is all clear just to be on the safe side. I'll be playing offline and keeping tabs for a couple of days before I log on and update.
