This fight is like the best fight in gaming history and it's sooooooooooooooooooooo well cinematically done and the acting is pretty pretty awesome! Do you agree it's one of the most EPIC scenes in gaming yes or no? I have played MANY MANY GAMES man but seriously this scene all of it is was like "ZOMG is this for real" moment to me.

The part where he yells " LIQUUUUUID" gives me weird GOOSE BUMPS!

Watch it!

I agree especially with the Liquid yelling part.

That was the most epic scene in all of MGS history. I agree. It gave me goosebumps as well and not to lie or anything, I think I felt a tear roll down from my eye by watching it again, which I'm a fan of the MGS series. No other game could top that. PERIOD!!!

True man. With this scene, I want people to always remember the epicness of this saga and MGS4 specifically and never forget these moments. When I release the story montage you will truely witness what MGS4 really is and how GENIUS Kojima is comparing to other developers.

I agree, but the way people go on about the lenghty cutscenes, It makes me feel like i'm the only one who dosnt mind putting down the controller and enjoying them.(...)Dantinho

you're not the only one, me too, i love the cut scenes of all 4 MGS and i never tought "this one is boring".
maybe some of MGS2 are "less good" but they're never bad, never ever...

My first console was the Atari 2600 then NES then GameBoy, Game Gear, and I played on the Sega GENESIS and then PLAYSTATION, life was great back then but when MGS1 was released, gaming to me changed completely to be honest, and I will always be thankful to the day I checked out the demo of MGS1 that came with my PS1 when I first bought it.

About the mp3, I have the whole album and I will be uploading and post the link for you man in couple of minutes.

Yeah that fight was great, and an impressive moment in gaming history, but something that goes right along with that was when he was heading for Outer Haven's core through all those microwaves, and the fights were going on above you and you fell and had to crawl to the end it was spectacular.

The microwaves scene made me cry! I don't know if it's the song or not that was played during that emotional scene but seeing Snake after all these heroic years suffering this way was really not good to look at and touching and painful to me. I followed his story ever since MGS1 a decade ago and Snake became like a fictional close friend or relative to me because the story is so detailed and epic that it makes you feel every pain the characters go through the whole saga and make you feel as if you were in the game fighting alongside them. I got used for the LEGENDARY BADASS Snake, who can accomplish any mission under any circumstances but Kojima made Snake suffer and look really weak and hopeless in some scenes(VOLTA at the end of act 3 and Shadow Moses when Ocelot was about to crush Snake with Haven and more other scenes aswell) but the will to fight was still in the mind and heart of this man and the will to continue and not surrender was like the best things when it comes to Snake. Just seeing Snake suffering this way really was emotional and touching. The microwaves, Ocelot beating the hell out of him and humiliating him in the end of act 3, shadow moses(this act alone brought back alot alot of memories and sad ones aswell, and always remind you of how epic the saga is), Snake with a gun in his mouth and saying his final words with the love theme played in the background, CQC hug with Big Boss, Snake picks up and lights the cigar and helps Big Boss taste his final smoke was really emotional.... dude the whole thing was just outstanding.

I still think it would've been way better if they have actually used the MAIN theme of MGS. That music is a music of hope and it always reminds you of Snake overcoming his troubles that he goes through his fightings and his missions! I don't know, it would've fit better there. Nevertheless, it's still a stunning spectacular scene.

couldnt have said this any better. ive only got into mgs a few months a ago but its weird i feel the same way i was very surprised that i have never found these games when the playstation was out i did play mgs3 demo once to be honest didnt like it much it was fun but i thought the whole game was crawling and killing snakes to eat i was young when i played the demo. i actually love mgs3 now its so james bond ish with the theme song. i loved the parts in mgs4 when they made snake look weak i was like no getup dont let liquid stab you why but it showed him as a human being as his last mission it was good to see that he really was just a man not an immortalized hero. i have seen this a lot of places in stories a great story has refrences and foreshadowings with the past and present part when ever its mentioned you know what i mean

It was up there, but hte most intense, to me, has to be the microwave scene. Cuz I honestly didn't know of Snake would get through it. The sad music, Otacon uring Snake on, the split screen with Raiden getting beatdown and the Ray units converging on Naomi. All of it just felt so intense it got to me. Not to mention I was mashing on triangle so hard I thought I'd break my controller.

You could see Otacon on his Mac controlling the Mark II while trying to escape Ray's assault on the Missouri in real time. The whole Microwaves scene was sad, really sad. The thing is, depends your love to the main character(Snake) and how deep you've been following his story, I was ready to break my controller just to save SNAKE from the suffering!! I GOT UP from my chair and started to press really hard in order to make him move faster! It was painful to see Snake in this condition. The gameplay part of the microwaves was like "Don't GIVE UP on me" moment.

To be honest, I though almost all the fights were epic (except the Beauties/beasts ones) but you are right that the last one (Snake VS. Liquid) was the ultimate battle of epicness and probably the best of all time

are you guys f'ing kidding me? this fight was a terrible excuse for a final fight sure it was well executed and well acted but it was the LAMEST thing about the entire game, the whole thing felt like a big joke to me , now if you're talking about the Rex Vs Ray fight then hell yes, most epic fight ever.

I disagree. MGS3 fight was the best. The Boss and Snake. That was the greatest ever. This comes second though.

We were talking about the acting and execution and I would never call it lame because it had alot of meanings that you may not comprehend and I'd understand because MGS games were never straight forward when it comes to story twists and storytelling. Anyway, Rex vs Ray is a unique BEAUTIFUL fight although it's easy but it is EPIC and it's a boss fight that we Metal Gear fans been waiting for ever since we fought Rex back in Shadow Moses incident. So thank you Mr.Kojima for giving us that fight!

One of the reasons i enjoyed that fight was of the realism of it. It didn't seem outlandish at all and was, of course, epic to no end. That's why I consider the Raiden vs. Vamp fight to be second place in MGS4.

I heard a rumor that my friend told me that the next "Snake" in the MGS series might be Revolver Ocelot. I hope it's not true.

I agree. The pure emotion that was put into this fight is so epic. The battle isnt about anything in the political or war aspect of the MGS games, its just purely about two old soldiers settling a score. Priceless.

Actually, I love all of the fight sequences. Raiden and Vamp, REX vs RAY and the final one were my favourites. The best part in the opening of the final fight is when Snake and Ocelot were matching blow for blow. That " Liquid!!" scream was great. It sounded like he had enough and this is it, once and for all. In my opinion, I was NEVER bored the entire game. There are parts in other Metal Gear games I didn't like much (facing Fatman and The Fear). But I've loved every second of MGS4 since I've started playing it June 12th.

I heard a rumor that my friend told me that the next "Snake" in the MGS series might be Revolver Ocelot. I hope it's not true. e_stone001

Never heard of this before. Ocelot is dead anyway.

Well it's before he died and begun his life, but I hope he's not the next "Snake".

you know it actually might since he was a spy too but id hate it if he didnt have his revolver it was cool in mgs3 when he first used it and remember the part when he has his motorbike like a horse and jumps ove the crossbeam that was great he was like a westeern outlaw in a cold war era

Whenever I watch this, it only re-emphazises the respect I have for Solid Snake, I mean, the sheer resilience for pulling through and ending his nemisis and this, after walking through a chamber filled with microwave.

A legend I say.

Yea but I still can't see how he'd be the main character in future MGS games. It's quite impossible.

i really think the new mgs will break off the story and start fresh since its snakes last mission make a new guy with his own story to tell or something i dont how i could play a game with the same caharacters that refer snake as dead and you start to play a character from snakes life.

Yea, I too would prefer MGS5 to be some sort of new character with a completely seperate story from snake. It would just be almost sad to play as someone from snake's time but then have them say snake is some crippled old man or even say he is dead. Of course with a new character there should be homage to snake. References scattered here and there showing snake's greatness would always make me smile.

Of course if MGS5 came back with snake or someone from snake's time I'm sure Kojima is the one person who could make it just as awesome as the previous installments
