They said at amazon.co.uk that they would take prorders on 15th of febuary during business hours 9 to 5. its 12 now and it won't let me pre-order one, it just says i am signed up for e-mail when i am able to pre-prder one.

Anyone know whats going on?

Well if it's anything like the US, preorders prolly ended at 9:01

Well I'm waiting in the line aswell hee hee... I noticed that its for sale on the other European Amazon websites arghhhhh!!! - but i guess theres higher demand in the UK and all the currencies and tax to sort out too :-( Hopefully I havent missed the window, but I'm sure there will be a few left even after 5pm tonight.

i hope so, i forgot about the orders untill 11 this morning, and they wont let me pre-order, wouldn't they say if all pre-orders were, ordered?

That's probably what happened, all the preorders they were going to take to guarantee one on launch day got filled a lot earlier than planned (no surprise). Now you're on a list to be notified when they will be taking preorders on a second shipment (which could be a week or so after launch).

If you are really wanting it first day you may want to try elsewhere such as GAME or HMV.

Me aswel... and they still say "We plan to start taking pre-orders for the PS3 today, 15 February. Read our FAQs for further information."

So only one can hope lol.

Also to note - the SIXAXIS controller is still not available to order, so they probably havent started UK pre-orders yet. COME ON AMAZON!!!

lol... I have had one or 2 lectures this morning. But thought they wouldnt sell out too quickly. Anyhoo got mine... now let the spending begin!!

Amazon have stated that they will stop taking preorders once there allocation of PS3s has finished.

Yeh! I bagged one too. They are STILL taking pre-orders right now, 11:30am (GMT) feb 16th. I'm really surprised that they aren't all sold out.

No. Amazon takes money out when an item is ready to be dispatched.
