Amusing Stories of YOUR GIRLFRIEND HOARDING THE PS3

Have you ever woken up on a Saturday morning, excited to fire up the PS3 and continue your previously saved game?

Have you ever woken up on a Saturday morning, excited as all hell to re-enter Shadow Moses Island for the first time in ten years, only to be denied by your girlfriend?

Have you ever been denied "getting some good gaming in" by your girlfriend?

How about getting denied because your girlfriend is hoarding the PS3 to appease her dark desires of taking over the world? My girlfriend is addicted to Civilization Revolution. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game. VERY ADDICTIVE. But she's better, or at least more persistant than I at it, and is absolutely hellbent to spend entire weekends to get all 4 victories on the hardest difficulty.

What have I created? A PS3 MONSTER...Why did I download the demo?

How the hell am I going to be able to finish BioShock twice? I'm working on Metal Gear Solid 4 on Extreme Mode. I've only scratched the surface of Half Life 2, and there's no way I'm going to be able to keep up with the clan for Call of Duty...

Granted...this is utterly amusing, and cute because my girlfriend usually loves to go out to the beach or the club on weekends. Instead, Civilization Revolution, has utterly consumed her. Maybe it's a way for her to connect with our new Sony Bravia KDL40-XBR4 HDT...

So yeah...we have one TV, one PS3, and die hard PS3 fan, and a PS3 monster (whom I love) in my household. I do hope she likes "Little Big Planet".

Anyone else as "lucky" as I am?

My girlfriend doesn't quite grasp the concept of using BOTH analog sticks at the same time. This limits the kind of games we can play together.

2-D games she's great at.

She loves Civilization Revoution, Puzzle Fighter, Guitar Hero, and Pixel Junk Monsters.

i feel your pain buddy because i go through the same thing too. luckly i have sdtv in the bed room even though not as good as the hdtv i don't care as long i get to play it.

try sharing with a 10, 7, 56 year olds in the same house. that is not including me or the acasion my wife lol i catch her playing time to time. (tekken and uncharted).

my mother in law 56 beat drakes about 12 times now i my stomack turns when i see it and i love that game.

she also did the same last gen with res 4 and she bet it on the hardest setting for both games. res 4 was very hard i did not have the patiance for it but she did it.

i hate the fact my son plays it for like 4 to 5 hours almost every day but im lucky i get to play 1 hour. dam charms they take the tv for that every night so i broke down and im starting to hook it up in the bed room on my sdtv.

my daughter hardly plays but she plays ps 2 games on it (got the 20 gig) so she play it too.

thank god my son getting a wii for x-mas. i will hook that up in his bedroom. lol i got 5 tv's in the house you need at least 2 tv's in your house if your a gamer to survive in a relation ship.

i got food spit on me when i told her how much i spent on the ps 3 i should of waited until she did not have a mouth full of food.

I absolutely want to get another HDTV, but the economy is bad, and money is tight. A 32" for a bedroom would be nice...Thankfully we have no kids yet. Then I'd really have to grow up. Haha.

My girlfriend isn't a big PS3 fan. She does steal my Wii and 360 all the time though. I've had my Wii since launch and still haven't had the chance to finish Twilight Princess.

I just have to put my foot down and throw her off my 360. She's playing Tales of Vesperia, so if I don't boot her off, I wont be able to play for the next 2 weeks :) Lucky for me though, I never have to battle for the PS3..that will probably change with LBP. Thanks a lot Sony, no consoles for me...

Just be happy she games. My wife can't stand games and has grown accustomed to mocking TF2 when its on. "You have captured the enemies intellegence. HAHAH." And don't get me started on Ninja Gaiden and Rachels chest size. Sigh.189302

now i dont have this problem as my girlfriend is not much of a gamer. she does have a DS with new super mario on it but shes so useless at it its really embarasing. she does moan if i go in my ps3 or 360 & i get the how long are you going to be on that routine & you have more time for your games than me.

wait wait wait you two sleep in seperate rooms lol how that working for you. you should make your room the sleeping quarters and set up her room for gaming.

It's great to hear that other guys have PS3 monster girlfriends.

I'm telling you man...the second it looks like my Civilization will fail..."Ok, you're going to die (she's right about 95% of the time), my turn!"

my gf's got wii and frankly speaking, she is pretty horrible at it, i managed to beat her at brawl even though i have rarely played that game. she always wants to play halo 3 mp but shes HORRIBLE at it....she jumps around if she manages to kil someone...which is kinda rare. she isnt that much interested in the ps3, she just finds it very shiny but loves to watch movies on it *bluray* and hates when i play cod4..."would u stop killing those poor soldiers?!" -.-'
