Another weak Christmas for PS3?

With all the big late 07 games and features being pushed back to 08 what does this mean for PS3 this christmas? I am dissappointed in Sony for 1. saying they are listening to gamers and 2. then making the same gamers wait for everything.

I guess the only thing I can do this holiday season is get me a psp. Since this seems to be where Sony is focussing most of the efforts this year.

If Sony was going to do something about the price of the system or announce a 40gb SKU, it would NOT be right now. They want to let everyone buy up all of the 60gb models and then start moving some of the 80gb models. It's only September and if Sony is introducing a 40gb SKU for the holidays, why would the announce it tonight? It wouldn't make any sense.

They'll wait for the 60gb models to be sold out, then they will talk about price/more SKUs. It wouldn't make any sense for Sony to do it now so just wait a bit. It's the media that made everyone think tonight was the night and most people bought into it. Sony could not have possibly lived up to the hype that the media created for this keynote. Be patient guys, good things are coming. Sony isn't stupid and they will do something big for the holidays.

If you accually believe that gta and metal gear will be out in spring I think you are falling into the game developers trap. Those two high profile game will be push to late 08....my prediction

I'm pretty excited about this holiday season for the ps3. Guitar Hero 3, Assasin's Creed, Uncharted: Drake, and Army of Two are all coming out before Christmas. That pretty much makes me one happy camper. Follow that up with MGS4 and GTA IV in the spring.whodeysay85

Assasin's creed, COD4, Uncharted, UT3, HS, HAZE, GT5 prologue, Rachet and clank, Sega Rally, Folklore, and others i am sure i forgot...

All those games will be available for XMAS, I dont know about u but that more than enough for me, good games to chose from and i am sure they ll keep me busy until KZ2, and MGS4 come out.

no u got it wrong, Sony will have 11million units shipped by the holidays, unit solds that s another story, i predict around 6-8 million ps3 sold by january 08.

WOW you must be the dream of every company in the world dude, a customer that doesn't complaint no matter what the company did. Crying babies , ummmm well not really , just angry customer , we all paid that price for the console, so we did our part in this deal, so THEY need to do their part. They are testing our patient with every new delay, or flood of exclusive games (lair).

So far the best and most innovative games I have played so far have been through the PSN. And most of those are under 10 bucks so I guess I can look forward to whats hitting the PS store later this year.

Yes still some games coming this year butmost are 1st or 3rd person shooters. I should've bought a 360 for shooters.

Uncharted isn't a system seller, either is R&C or UT3. The rest are Multi-platform. My PS3 is useless till next year.

unlike a lot of peole here that get their games based on reviews, i get the games that i am the most excited about, and franchises that are proven to be good time and time again. and of course games that i have tried. for example UT3 i always been a UT fan so obvioulsy i ll be getting that game. I m more hype about that game than say...hmmm halo3. then COD4 played the beta and the game rocks, i m just going to get it on ps3 coz i am tired of paying for stupid xbl. Uncharted from the videos looks very promising...ect

so u see i have already 3 games that i know i m getting for xmas and that more than enough for me, i ll probly get a couple more being presents from freinds and family so...like i was saying i have nothing to cry about unlike alot of u are right now.

ohh thank you, i didnt knew that..... now i get it, is just a fact of life that the only console that gets everything delayed (games, update, new funtionality, demos) is ours, i just realize that............... stop complaining people is a GOD decision.

lol i m 27 living in my own house , playing with MY PS3, MY WII, and MY XBOX360, and i payed good money for my Ps3 too

Why in the hell are u basing ur game purchase on if the game is a sytem seller? u just follow the crowd is that it? and how do u know uncharted wont be a system seller after it gets reviewed? come on poeple be patient. Owned. I agree with Mobius. What's the problem here? Warhawk is still plenty good at holding my attention and it's not like Sony discontinued the production of all games until 2008.

What we have here is a problem with whiners and not a problem with Sony.
