I see very little hype on these boards or really anywhere for this game. I think it looks pretty cool. It is under the Activision name who alot of gamers seem to dislike right now after the recent controversies/Kotick. Maybe thats why it isnt hyped. I'm willing to look past the name and hope the guys at Raven have created a fun game. This game pertains to my interests (Guns, Sci-Fi - Horror, Alternate Histories, Time Bending) and i feel that most people are expecting it to be a letdown or are at least on the fence. I just preordered it on amazon as they are offering a $20 credit towards another game purchase and a graphic novel based on the game. Are any of you Gspotters looking forward to playing this game? My score prediction is an 8.0 from Gamespot.

Raven's disappointed before, and Singularity to me looks a lot like Bioshock so I'm not likely to get it unless it gets extremely high reviews.

Ive heard the Bioshock references before but no one has said why it is similar. The storys are very very different so that can't be why. Is it because you hve a gun in your right hand and another device on your left? There wasnt any time bending in Bioshock and you had an assortment of different plasmids (Powers eg: fire, ice, shock lightning, others escape me right now) rather than an actual device used for one sole purpose.

Maybe it is deemed similar due the the oceanic setting, even though Bioshock was underwater and I believe Singularity takes place above the surface. And saying a game looks similar to Bioshock is a compliment as Bio is an outstanding game. The sequel was decent, but mediocre in many ways as well. I guess we will just have to play Singularity to really see how it is as the gameplay footage out there is pretty minimal.

I'm interested but not enough to go buy it. I'll wait for the inevitable price drop.
