Is there is any thing similar to XNA for the PS3?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_XNA

Do you even think it's good idea to do something like that for the PS3?

If there is an official development kit released by soony for the PS3? are you gonna use it to develop homebrew games and tools for the PS3?

btw i'm not xbox fan, i just like the idea of XNA but it's not enough for me to buy the xbox ^^.

Not that I know of. I would be sweet, though.

Incidentally, you don't need a 360 to use XNA. You can download the tools for free and create games to play on your PC. No 360 required.

and as much as i know that EDGE is not released for free to the public like XNA.

every one can download xna and start to develop homebrew games and tools for the console ( xbox in this case )

or the pc, and this is what i like about it.

Sony supports homebrew on their console ever since the Ps1, Microsoft is 10 years late.

And if you're interested in developing games here ->http://lgdc.sunsite.dk/ and http://www.gamedev.net/

Tools, Tutorials, Examples, Documentation, etc...

Free exemples with source code of dozens of games ->http://www.oreillynet.com/topics/linux/games

You'll need linux installed.
