[QUOTE="JoKeR_421"]im disappointed in threads like this after all the exclusives and wat sony is tryin to do, theres still a bunch of ppl coming here sayin they are disappointed? lol im happy if anythin im more excited wat they will do next? ps3 is gettin her act together and slowly but surely we are noticing BIG things, such as bigger maps or levels, more things on the screen at once, better A.I, good graphics, so wat are u worried about? are u worried that the other system will be dominated lol? cronew1
No I'm more worried about the lack of sales. With the lack of systems being sold in the US the developers have less incentive to make games for ps3 when there are more 360s in homes that are easier to develop for. Most game makers are not like Kojima, they look at what is more profitable and right now the 360 is a better investment.

i have to agree with you on this one cronew1. If the lack of sales for the PS3 continue, its shows a message to developers that the PS3 isnt worth making games for if the majority of ppl own a 360. We all have high hopes for the game lineup this year, but if its not reflected in the sales things will not get better

I totally agree with the TC. I bought a PS3 about a year ago (mostly for MGS4), and I have to say I love it. Problem is, I never play it. I played MGS4 compulsively for a while, then I got into Ratchet and Clank, and then I played through Uncharted, but after that...nothing. The system is well-designed, has a lot of great features, and runs fantastically. It is obviously powerful (just look at Killzone 2). The problem is, there are just no games worth playing on it anymore. I own a 360, and unlike the TC I am going to just come right out and say it - the 360 is a better system. Better support for online, better community features, and no annoying installs to sit through (unless you choose to install) mean that I choose the 360 for all my multiplatform games. Plus it has more exclusive games and content than you can shake a stick at. I'm sure I will get flamed for saying that, but it's the truth. If the PS3 was better supported, had more than three great exclusives, and consistently produced games on a level with Killzone 2 it would be the winner for me, bar-none. It could do with much better online community support as well. All in all, I love my PS3 and I don't regret buying it one bit, but do I have to admit that I am at least a little disappointed with it overall. Flame away!

First off, you mention this:

360 has:

Better support for online, better community features, and no annoying installs to sit through. But have you been online on the PS3? You mention Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank and MGS4. Both Uncharted and Ratchet don't have multiplayer and you can't base anything off MGO which is good, but it's 1 game of many. You don't buy MGS4 for MGo anyway, you buy it for the single player. I think you also forgot to mention that Xbox 360 online you have to pay for, + the cable and is a pain to set-up, but yes it's better. But with PS3, you're paying NOTHING for as many accounts as you want, to play online for free. You get what you pay for.

Second of all, you said about exclusives; sure, Xbox has exlusives but so does the Wii, the PS2, the Gamecube, the SNES, the PS3, the DS ,the PSP and everything else I've left out. You can't say a system is just better because of exclusives unless youare a die hard fan of a specific game, which still wouldn't be justified because it's an opinion on a game, not the console.

/rant over

The Xbox 360 is an amazing system, has good exlusives and great online but is the PS3. If your gonna complain, at least do it right and justify your reasons.

Why does this conversation about the 360 always having more games than the PS3. That is true but not every exclusive is great on any system.

Kengo

Tenchu

Sylspheed

Ninety Nine Nights

as well as quite a few other exclusives were rather bad games even though they were exclusive

As far as quality games go, they both have the same number pretty much

The 360 has gears of war while PS3 has resistance

the 360 has Tales of Vesperia while PS3 has Valkyria Chronicles

The 360 has Braid while PS3 has Little Big Planet.

The 360 doesn't have Bioshock, Eternal Sonata, Dead Rising, and Lost Planet as exclusive titles/

I would rather pay the extra $50 it costs and get a PS3 with a few added features like USB functionality with web brousing with other things than buy a system that is known to crash with a weaker Dpad. I own all 3 so it doesn't matter, but PS3 has the edge overall unless you are extremely into online. So far 2009 looks a bit bare for 360, Star Ocean and Alan Wake, that is about it other than the Halo spinoffs. The only reason why 360 sells more is because it is "cheaper" when it really is more expensive in the long run. MS's first party is rather weak and they don't use their system to full capacity or in other words, they don't optimize things well enough. Look at Mistwalker's games. They both have slowdown and chug, while Resistance and Uncharted run smooth with no hitches excluding ones from loading that you would find in any game.

The only problem with the industry is that they announce games too early like they did with Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil 5, FF 13, and so on.

IM disapointed that i can't play warhawk for like a mouth because my ps 3 (20 gig) kicked the bucket. im so sad.

i am also disapointed with team ico taking there sweet old time on there next game.

im disapointed not of sony but third dev's giving the other guy special treatment when 90% of there profit was from ps 2 last gen. one little slow start and the abandon sony.

[QUOTE="shadowkiller11"][QUOTE="lazzy102"] Im not talking about the Xbox360 mate....maybe i didnt make myself clear....what they made us believe was that the ps3 was outstanding..and all I see from games of these generation is that yes the graphycs are awesome but gameplay wise there is nothing new...they made us believe that they could make huge worlds and tons of new improvements in gameplay...I didnt see all of these improvements....the only game till now..which made the ps3 worth buyng IMO is MGS4...all of the other titles are great but not outstanding....and I just said that I feel a little disappointed.........No need to flame me I was just asking opinions...wow didnt know people could get worked up on an opinion...jeesh...sry mate if I offended you...just calm a bit down;) guynamedbilly
there can never really be next generation gameplay is there even a thing called that. next generation consoles are to get next generation features and graphics. no way is ps3 a dissapontment. if you think gameplay will start to have new major things then you will be dissapointed all your life. maybe untill virtual reality then maybe you be pleased but otherwise.

You have a point, but he makes a good point too. I think his disappointment is with the developers though. Sony didn't fail to deliver with the PS3, but only a few developers have actually embraced this advanced technology. I'm not disappointed because I use the PS3 to the fullest and think it was a good value, but if you only use it for games, I could see how you might be disappointed.

I am not disapointed, hell I bought over 50 games for ps3/psn since last April when i bought my 40 - now 320gb, and It rocks. It rocks so much that I have pratcially stopped pc gaming unless it's a rare exclusive like the total war series or an rpg like neverwinter nights/diablo. The ps3 is only getting better, we are only in the start of year 3, 360 is in the start of their year 4. The reason you don't see to many games besides ps3 exclusives taking advantage of the system is becuase of the 360. Multiplatform games have to develop for the lowest common denominator which is the 360 with its lack of standard hard drive, last gen dvd with only 9 gigs of storage tops, along with a weaker cpu, this is what they go for...can you imagine what gta4 would of been like if they put as much into it as say mgs4, killzone 2, uncharted or lbp? It sucks as we have a stronger system but cheap or uninformed people, kids, and trend followers(halo fantaics) will buy the cheaper system not knowing or not caring that its a piece of junk that will just brake. Until Sony lowers the price we will only see a few 3rd parties take advantage of the ps3 hardware. At least 1st party is doing a great job with it!! Have you seen the new God of war 3 footage? played the killzone2 demo? Uncharted, Infamous, dc universe, and heavy rain all will be system exclusives that will rock!

Sony has provided a powerful system.

Lazy devs are going after the fast buck with lazy 360 ports . This is the reason most games look as good on a 360. They are going for the quick n easy.

If these companys see big profit in producing amazing games that use all of the PS3's power, more wicked PS3 exclusives will be produced.

You can help by supporting these GREAT games like MGS4 and killzone 2 and avoid crappy Ubisoft ports. If you have to buy that stuff get it USED. Dont feed the lazy companys that are keeping us down.

If K2 sells HUGE we will see more companys willing to take the risk and spend the money / time producing powerful PS3 exclusives.

Um...so you jsut admitted the online features are much better. I'm ok with paying like 14 cents a day for a decent online service that lets me chat with friends even if we aren't playing the same game and a choesive community feel. So, yeah. I don't really know what to say about that. You basically said PSN sucks because it's free. So I guess we are in agreement on that one? Remember that something having a reason to suck doesn't make it not suck anymore. And the exclusives thing...I don't understand your argument. Yes, all systems have exclusives, I never said they didn't. But the fact remains that the 360 has MORE great exclusives that PS3. 360 has Gears, Halo (which I hate, BTW), exclusive content for Fallout 3 and GTA 4, and don't forget Bioshock started as a 360 exclusive. So saying a system is better because of exclusives is totally legit. After all, if given the choice between a system with 10 AAA exlcusives or one with 4 AAA exclusives (assuming all multiplatform releases are more or less equal, which in this case they are), why wouldn't you prefer the one with 10? I'm not sure how you meant to disprove my statement earlier with this. You basically just agreed with me.

I'm disappointed. I feel like MGS4 and Killzone 2 prove that the PS3 is a very powerful gaming machine when the game is only for the PS3. However, because the 360 came out earlier and gathered such a large fanbase before the PS3 could, few game companies are willing to risk developing a PS3-exclusive game. So they make multi-platform games, and in most cases, multi-platform means the PS3's power isn't going to be used well. I think this is depressing because we have a really great system, and it's potential is not going to be realized by a huge number of games.

i think not.....disappointed.its just freaking advance console for this generation....testing blue-ray and more powerful graphics card

i think it will win to its.....long survive rates....its like a PS2 who lives too many years...than xbox(the old).....while 360 suffers for more problems....

in near future there will be genocide of 360.....because of toasted GPU cards.....

its just waiting..for good economy......then a new price cut release......

You have a strong point here.. but now with upcoming games like Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, GOWIII and FFVSIII when it comes out, ppl would start to realise how powerful the Ps3 is and how much it can do better than the 360 with it's exclusives.. those games are gonna surpass gears and halo and lost odyssey.. The Ps3's library is slowly expending, i'm hoping for the best which is yet to come :)
