Anybody still getting madden 09

not many are....but u gotta admit this madden looks and feels much more real than the previous 19. i think with difficulty adjustor, improved online community features, and overall great animations and graphics, it'll be worth the money. more for me though cuz im getting the special edition

Here's the deal...Madden 09 is looking like something they should have done 2 to 3 years ago. By now, my standards are much higher then what Madden 09 is showing me.

There should be some features in the game that aren't but other than that this game is where it should be ..

No, during regular games. I hated that announcer with a passion. I'd listen to Madden's nonsence any day compared to that guy. He was so annoying:evil:

Yeah, I do too. But like you said "anything is better". I wish they got the original announcers from Sunday Night Football, when it was still on ESPN. That would be sweet:)

I wouldve put gta iv on the list because it usually delivers pretty well as a series but since the latest installment was a big disappointment and a complete boredom to the core i remove it :P, it feels more like a opera than it does a video game - good for putting people to sleep ;)

I played madden 08 on the ps2 and it was the exact same as 07 I thoguht. The gameplay was okay.

I am wondering wat was the huge problem on the ps3, which made it terrible comapred to the x box 360.

Agreed. Now I'll admit that I'm a Madden fanboy (except for last year:lol: ), but I hate it when people try to make excuses and say it'll take time for EA to make the presentation better. NFL 2K had it right from day one, and that was on THE DREAMCAST! I find it sad that the commentary on Madden lacks compared to the 2K games on DC. We'll see if that changes this year, but I somewhat doubt it:|

I watched a review of Madden 09 on friday and they said the game is better than last year and the best installment ever. I have owned Madden on at least one console since 1998 so I will be picking this game up. I downloaded the demo but have not played it yet, however Madden is always EA Sports' best game. This year will be no different. Last year I bought Madden on the Wii and it was awesome, but now I can not wait to see this game in HD since I just got a new TV about 3 months ago.

Any negative thoughts about this game will be removed once you play the actual game I am sure. Come on how could they not. It's Madden. It's always worth the money (except in 2007 on the 360 and PS3, man those games sucked, glad I bought it for PS2). But anyway Madden is one of the best sports franchise ever. How else could EA justify the fact that they make about 0 dollars profit from the game after paying for the NFLPA exclusive rights, and paying Madden himself for his input to the game.

Yeah I love my Madden .. 08 was the first year I actually questioned my purchased ..

2K presentation was always awesome, but game play couldn't compare to Madden .. but EA has to realize that we want it all, and it CAN be done because we've seen it. NFL 2K5 will go down as the best football game to date .. EA can change that but they don't want to work to hard .. want to sit back and enjoy their money.

It can be done, EA just has to somehow lose the NFL license, and get some competition and that's when we will start seeing the ultimate football video games.
