Anyone else pissed how Sony has run this gen?

I mean, the PS3 had an EPIC fail launch, and is now starting to be called a decent gaming console, I love MGS4 and am probably the biggest MGS fan, but PS3 just doesn't deliver, SONY has not delivered on one promise, and this is the second year into it's life span.... maybe LBP or Killzone 2 will brighten things up?

Wheres Heavy rain? God of War? are these 09 titles? Sony lost so many exclusives this War is it's laughable.

I think they lost exclusives because they focused on making a better system as opposed to making a better list of exclusives. I'd rather let 360 get FF13 and have the plus of blue ray and better graphics.

Nope.

The start was a little slow. But its either lots of games at the start, or much better games after a little while. Sony took a risk this gen, and its now finally paying off as the sales start to climb.

no sony has played it smart, they seen that 3rd parties would just no longer be exclusive without sony have to pay a lot of money which just isnt worth it, so the best way to counter act this is to make new IP's and build strong 1st party studios.

its halfy half for sony they did a good job of holding the ps3 back so they can make sure the console was in perfct running order amd im not been mean the reason microsoft let out the 360 early cos they couldnt face of becomin last again and looks what happening now RROD

2nd yea they could of controlled there frachises and keep the exclusives for themselves

I felt the same way. Sony knows that they have the largest 1st party studio to date and most of their greatest games on the PS2 were 1st and 2nd party. Because all of the 3rd party companies that went multi plat were having money troubles at the time. Capcom, Take2 and SquareEnix which needs multi plat success to cover for development cost.

I'm not dissappointed either at all.

I was little disappointed that Sony didn't have such a great start with the PS3. However, they've definitely picked up their game now, and they're releasing a tonne of really cool games for the system in the next few quarters that look pretty sick, and most are exclusives such as Resistance 2, LBP and Killzone 2. Not to mention other games that have just been released on the system (MGS4).

the only disappointment is framerates , i see littlebigP runs 30 fps ,

supposedly great console but gta4 runs at 12 fps and 640ish mode

no-mod chip yet!!! :p jk

Im not really dissapointed...

Kinda mad they way the go about doing things. I mean, the biggest thing is the delays and when they put games out. Some games have been talked about for so long yet have not been delivered. By that I mean announcing something a way back, promising a release and not giving. That jus sucks. One reason being it kills the hype and anticipation and who wants a delay? Nobody.

I have enjoyed all the games Ive played on ps3. I may not have agreed with all, and I may have not enjoyed all aspects of it...But my experiance with this gen has been nothing but great.

Once again iam annoyed with people using the word EPIC failure it annoys me so much, and just wondering where is this 50% margin when you look at a console and what % is classes as epic? because last time i checked fail was under 50% and epic was never there but how can you give a console a %?

Sony is loosing Exclusive? That's because Microsoft playing with their money on some of those games.

but i do miss a lot of RPG games on PS3, i hope Sony will bring me (and us) a lot of RPG games in TGS.

I'll keep rallying for Sony.

i think sony has run this gen better than any other. for example, they have a 10 year plan, this means that most of their high end stuff wont be out for years, so we will constantly be seeing improvements through the decade. where as microsoft has pushed 360 to its limits within 3 years.

also sony are not forking out more money for exclusives. they know that its better to make a great system and their own great games, rather than trying to steal competitors games and customers.

i own all 3 consoles, and im convinced that the ps3 will have the rise above the others over the years.

How has it failed? Just because its great exclusives are taking more devotion than they had projected? If you haven't noticed PSN has made huge leaps. I actually prefer the Playstation Network to Xbox live, and PSN is free. The software changed dramatically and you haven't noticed?

It takes time to establish a great console, and when Sony is trying to attack every angle of the system: software, online, 1st party games and all the other things it takes time. You have to enjoy what they have done: new software, online features that challenge XBL if not beating it, and the new release of MGS 4, and the prior exclusive games. Also this fall and holiday will show many, many more GREAT exclusives.

They are actually fixing their mistakes unlike the PS2 and PS1 gen where they didn't do anything and sold 120 million each. This isn't "old" Sony where everything is proprietary and they felt like they were god. Even before Ken Kutaragi left he made sure there was a plan for the PS3 to lower costs and improve the development kits.

THe games and the online service have been great since launch, and they have been constantly improving it, anyone who doesn't think so is an idiot or a fanboy.

I agree with the OP - Sony has and continues to sell the console based on promises (some of them in the past, false ones) and due to the fact that the mojority of consumers have bought the PS3 because of the name PlayStation, not because it's actually superior this generation.

I just need more RPG's on the PS3... then im happy =D

I dont know if you looked in the past Sony pretty much destroyed Sega also had good games but had difficulties competing with sony. As sony went higher than Nintendo and sega. Sega producers had consoles that had one competed close to one of another like ( Sega saturn and PS1) and (Dreamcast to PS2). When the PS2 came out with DVD playback and a bigger library one of Sega partner companies couldn't supply parts to manufactured the Dreamcast and beaten by a DVD system that was affordable and better to play sega lost... I dont know why i told this story but one thing..

SONY may be lacking games some people say depending that there are good exclusives for the PS3. Not like your gonna buy them all in one day! As least they suceeded Blu ray and continuing to fight for game titles. Even tho PS3 are pricy to make they didnt drop and leave the console. The console is still going and Im not that angry.
