nobody tell the TC about the death scenes in Dead space 2......he might explode from disgust! but yeah, MK is old news now. a few years ago we would be sitting ehre talking about the latest Soldier of Fortune instead. Many franchises come and go and attempt to saty in the lime light via one form of brutality or another. In this case, MK goes back to its cartooon violence roots.

Mortal Kombat has a sense of humor and the fatalities are a part of that, they are so over the top that I personally don't understand how anybody can take them seriously. So the answer is no I am not sickened by it. However it would be very disappointing if they once again are using the fatalities to mask the fact that the characters control like a 1950's model John Deer and the gameplay is average at best.

Just a friendly suggestion, if you're making a thread like this not a bad idea to link us to a video, with proper warning about the graphic content.

You're proclaiming you are a MK fan, but making this thread finding the new MK gore sickening, doesn't seem like you really are one. MK has been all about the extreme violence that contains a ridiculous amount of blood and gore. Matter fact, this new MK is lacking on the blood part.

Gore makes a game better in my opinion. The more brutal and sadistic, the better!

I have to be honest: I just don't have any interest in the "Mortal Kombat" series anymore. Yes, I am a bit sickened by the intense amount of gore, but not surprised by it. As people have already said this is the selling point of this franchise. I'm not going to say anything bad about new upcoming game as I'm sure fans of the series are looking forward to it. I just know that I won't be purchasing it as I'll be quite happy with "Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds" on the PS3.:)

Mortal Kombat's gore had always been toned down since MK2. Hell MK3 and 4 weren't really that big of a deal. MK 1 & 2 are the goriest 2D games. While MK9 is the goriest 3D game.
