years ago there was that big deal about Playstation Home which was a huge get together for people to interact somewhat with other plays where everyone used avatars and dressed up in weird ways like Star Wars stormtroopers or whatever.

a few years ago I horsed around in Playstation Home a little bit but noticed the prices for costumes and stuff were a bit spendy

I played a few minigames such as the drone flying one and then didn't touch it again.

I had a good time living in my homes. My favorite home was the Bioshock apartment. Very atmospheric with a view of the underwater city. I put 3-4 arcade cabinets (that worked) in the hidden 2nd level. There also was a working pool table, a folding gate, and leaks causing moody dripping sounds.

I did go out into public every once in a while. I remember watching a movie in a sparsely populated theater. Played some Resistance mini-games. Bought some schwag. Dancing in people's faces can only be fun for so long... Or can it? 🎶

I think I only logged into it only once when I got my PS3 just to see what it was and then I never logged back in again.

I actually had fun with home I bought few things to spice up my avatar and enjoyed socializing with people in the square. Its bit ahead of its time it tried to be sony's take on Second Life but more neutered I guess for gamers to gather. People on Second life I heard was bunch of horndogs and it was pretty much a hookup app lol.

I did. It was really cool, but the long load times kept it from being something a lot of people used.

I definitely remember PlayStation Home because I was part of the original beta test. I remember all the TV's in the game, they had trailers for Spider-Man 3 running on them at the time, which was well before the movie aired in theaters. And to top it off, I also remember mainly lining up for the Siren attraction and watching people randomly dance...and the random girls were being silly even though some of them were guys😅 Home had good and cool ideas like doing E3 events, you can watch the press conference, see some trailers and do some mini games in their E3 booth. they gave away some PS1 classics and like a month or couple weeks of PS+

Home was really good originally but I think what probably hurt it in the long run was that they started adding so many new areas that it stretched the players thin. I miss the Star Wars clan and almost lost so many friends I still follow to this day. When the Hackers invaded Home, that's when shit really hit the fan.
