Anyone Excited For Final Fantasy XIV ?

I've been playing Final Fantasy XI for about 5 years now, on and off.

When I saw the trailer for this game, I was pretty excited.

I can't wait to see the new graphics, jobs, and hopefully new races to be able to choose from.

I'm also hoping for a very nice storyline that can keep me interested.

Anyone else looking forward to this MMORPG ?

It's very different.

Anyway, I'm not excited per se, but I'll be keeping an eye on it, especially for those monthly fees, which I hear are going to be done on a 30 day basis. It's really how much I'd be paying that from completely hyping this game.

I'm hoping that they will keep it at about the same price as Final Fantasy XI.

It was about $20 a month for me, but that was only because I had multiple characters on multiple servers.

Adding extra characters was an extra $1 a month.

I figure they would be raking in the cash from FF XIII, and VsXIII(assuming it comes out before XIV)

I'm going to wait for some gameplay to come out, and wait and see if it will actually feel like a Final Fantasy experience before I buy it. Not really into the whole MMORPG thing, especially with the monthy fees but if its good enough I might pick it up.

Was never a real FF fan... or Kingdom Hearts... VC was pretty good though

I'm excited, but I know I'll have to pass because the online service won't be free. I really don't want to pay.

im excited in the sense that i liked ffxi a lot, so i want to see what they come outwith next. however, ive read that it wont be as party oriented as ffxi which is kind of a disappointment.

i'm not really excited about it, still waiting for Final Fantasy Versus XIII to come out.

I've never played a Final Fantasy game, even though I've owned Playstations since about '95. I'm sort of thinking of getting XIII and seeing what I think of it. As far as XIV, if there's a fee, I really doubt it. Unless they start releasing videos of it that absolutely blow me away.

I'm going to wait for some gameplay to come out, and wait and see if it will actually feel like a Final Fantasy experience before I buy it. Not really into the whole MMORPG thing, especially with the monthy fees but if its good enough I might pick it up.

Final Fantasy XI's battle system seemed kind of slow, didn't really enjoy it all to much.

Well I personally enjoy MMORPG's, I like being able to socialize and party with other people.

But thats just me.

It's no biggie, it's real easy to get into it. Before you know it, you'll be using Fira in no time.

It'll be a wait and see thing for me. i am far more excited in FF13 and FFV13 even FF13 Agito. not all that excited for FF14. However like i said, i'll wait and see what the response is. the only two MMO's i'm interested in playing are FF14 and Star Wars Old Republic. i never play MMO's as i've seen how addictive they can be, so i try and stay away from them.

" there will be parties, but you can solo with more jobs. though i wonder how that would effect the ease of getting a party if everybody is off soloing.

If you ever have the chance, borrow it from a friend, rent one of the games from a local store.

You might be surprised, its a pretty fun set of games.

Yea ive always been interested in them, just never made an effort to play them...Even though my friend owns most of them, haha. I guess now is as good a time as any to start. :P

I played FFXI a lot(way too much probably).

Im excited for FFXIV, hopefully they learned from a lot of their mistakes(worldwide release is a good start).

And not having to grind exp in PTs of 6 will be a nice change.
