I've heard some scattered reports saying the framerate is kinda eh on ps3. I hope thats not true, as my xbox doesnt have hdmi and everything looks kinda crap on my tv.

Not sure but on my way home from work at 5pm I passed by EB games and saw some guy sitting on a lawnchair first in line. I mean come on. Its just a game and it was only 5pm. I wouldnt wait in line for 7 hours for anything let alone a video game.

Yes, especially when something unexpected happens ;)
Trust me You want to go swimming:-)yeah i been playing it today. the framerate in general is pretty eh, but not bad enough to be annoying
on a side note, the jaggies in this game make my eyes bleed. I guess i've been too spoiled by my gtx 780, but it honestly eye straining
Well if there is any framerate problems, I'm not noticing them. Â I actually think the framerate is just far better than that of GTA4. Â It just feels so smooth to me. Â I've been hearing a few people say theres some texture popping in the digital version but I'm not really noticing that either. Â The only thing that feels slow to me is the loading times.
Digital Foundry analyzed the PS3 and 360 versions. Here's what they found:
1. PS3 (disc) has slightly better graphics/less pop-ins
2. 360 has better frame-rate on cut scenes
3. Frame-rate for gameplay is about the same -- 25-30fps with rare dips
The digital PS3 version is buggy, and the 360 version is the same way if you install the play disc, but I think Rockstar may have patched the 360 problem now.
