Anyone know how well gta5 plays on ps3?

I've heard some scattered reports saying the framerate is kinda eh on ps3. I hope thats not true, as my xbox doesnt have hdmi and everything looks kinda crap on my tv.

Not sure but on my way home from work at 5pm I passed by EB games and saw some guy sitting on a lawnchair first in line. I mean come on. Its just a game and it was only 5pm. I wouldnt wait in line for 7 hours for anything let alone a video game.

ps3 game is slightly better than 360's but not really anything noticable unless your looking for it,

digital copies of the game is where it's going wrong it seems, and if people install the play disc on the xbox 360.

so it's a hard copy you need and for ps3

yeah i been playing it today. the framerate in general is pretty eh, but not bad enough to be annoying

on a side note, the jaggies in this game make my eyes bleed. I guess i've been too spoiled by my gtx 780, but it honestly eye straining

Well if there is any framerate problems, I'm not noticing them.  I actually think the framerate is just far better than that of GTA4.  It just feels so smooth to me.  I've been hearing a few people say theres some texture popping in the digital version but I'm not really noticing that either.  The only thing that feels slow to me is the loading times.

It runs ok on my 360 but i'm sure it should be ok on the ps3 too.

Runds flawlessly on PS3 and i head it runs better on 3DS than on 360

Digital Foundry analyzed the PS3 and 360 versions. Here's what they found:

1. PS3 (disc) has slightly better graphics/less pop-ins

2. 360 has better frame-rate on cut scenes

3. Frame-rate for gameplay is about the same -- 25-30fps with rare dips

The digital PS3 version is buggy, and the 360 version is the same way if you install the play disc, but I think Rockstar may have patched the 360 problem now.
