It's not even the same game on the Wii, get your facts straight. It's a completely different title.

yeah its a different game but, sonic games have been sucking for a long time now, they used to be a great fun, but now, no matter what console u have and which game u buy, sonic will still suck...at least for this releases on each platform, may be down the road they`ll come back with a good sonic game.soooo... my guess its that wii owners will get owned no matter the game.
I simply laughed when GameSpot released their 4.4 and 4.2 ratings for Sonic the Hedgehog Next-Gen; no matter how good it looked, all informed customers knew that Sega was not going to do a good job on their latest Sonic game.
If anything, I laughed when GameSpot gave the PS3 version a lower Graphics score; the graphical muscle of the PS3 simply made the Sonic the Hedgehog Next-Gen look worse. If it weren't for the merger with Sammy years back, Sega would be a developer of handheld games by now and quit the console business.
In my opinion, Sega gets worse and worse every year - Their games aimed at children, such as Super Monkey Ball and Sonic, keep the company afloat. The teenage and older demographics simply laugh.
