I don't use the PS3's browser at all- the thing is too limited to use on some sites due to using lowe versions of some extensions like flash.

The folding, though, I have it going whenever I'm not gaming on there. The only time folding uses bandwidth is when uploading/ downloading work units. Those files are pretty small so you shouldn't have any worries about exceeding your cap from it.

1) I only used the browser when my computer was broken for a few weeks earlier last year and...2) I do F@h now and then but not so much these days, I've probably completed around 15 work units in almost a year. :P

I don't use the PS3 for web browsing but I use F@H all the time when I am not using the system for anything else. As of last night my system was over 450 work units (which is much less than many that have folded up into the thousands). As for using up bandwidth the files are so small that they barely use any bandwith (the only time it's using bandwith is when it is uploading or downloading which only takes maybe a minute).

I'm using my PS3 to its fullest.

If you don't download porn from the PS3's web browser, your PS3's power is highly untapped.

Dont get a usb keyboard get a Bluetooth or usb wireless i wish i did after a while the cord gets in the way. Also you'll want a mouse as well because otherwise you are constantly switching back and forth from control to keyboard.

I hardly use the Web Browser because my PC is just a few feet away :P Along with my PSP haha.

I do use Folding@Home though. My PS3 is hardly ever turned off, and I didn't get my PS3 very long ago, in January I believe, and I already have almost 50 Units. [Each Unit takes about 6 hours I believe] Almost 300 hours of my PS3 NOT gaming! Ahhhh! The life of a PC, Console, Handheld gamer haha.

The files are extremely small though, should pose almost no threat to your bandwidth limit.

I find that I don't use the built in Browser in the PS3 very often. Sometimes it's a bit of a novelty, but for the most part the software has limitations that make it worth while to surf the net somewhere else. A lot of the features that are built into heavy websites will fill the PS3's memory rather quickly, as well as the fact that the browser seems very slow compared to PC computing. Unless it's the most basic of websites, it's usually quicker to just open up the laptop and browse from there.

I use folding@home occassionally, but not enough to notice a blip on my internet service. I imagine that folding@home will get used even less when some of the up and coming PS3 titles are released in the coming months.

I have been F@H for some time now and usually if I don't touch the system for 24 hours it can finish 3 or 4 units in that time period but I have gotten some that took around 14 hours because of the size of the work unit. They all vary in size because I have seen some as small as about 150,000 bytes and up to 1,200,00 bytes of data to fold. The size of the files makes a difference in how long it takes to complete, and the file sizes are not some thing that you can choose because there given out at random.
