Just curious. Me and my friends still have mixed reactions over the games overall fighting mechanics and prebuilt tier system.
Anyone?

I only have a 32mb memory card so I don't have enough space to download it. :P

That sucks, its really worth giving a try...

Move something to your PC, play the demo, move it to your PC, and then return the original data to your PSP.

Well I liked it. The battles were kinda too easy though. I picked Cloud first and the initial battles (the first 4-5) were totally walk in the park. I liked the brave points thingie, the defense increase system (were you have to tap O), the rage mode (when your exp bar gauge is full). I disliked some stuff as well: they could use more character animations (they become kinda repetitive) and I don't like the whole being in the air most of the time stuff either, it can become frustrating in certain arenas. Haven't spent much on the game yet (like an hour) but all in all, I really liked it and I guess I'll play it a lot when it's released. pooyanhthis pretty much sums up how i feel about it too. Im just hoping they release ad hoc party in NA aswell.
Maybe I just couldn't figure out how to do them, but I found a lack of different attacks rather disturbing. I played as the Onion knight and I could only do two attacks for both Brave attacks and Hp damaging attacks. Are their more is that it? And I'm not counting the EX limit or whatever you call it and the aerial counter as well, (the one where you have to hit the x button to counterattack an enemies attack)
Well, I enjoyed the demo, but I'll still wait for the reviews. I'm not sold yet, but definitively interested.
Mixed impressions here as well. Some very nice animations/ideas. The bravery system was interesting, the wall run and grind are fun too. But I really wasn't blown away by anything in particular. Fighting in the sky was fun at first, but after a while it just feels sort of limiting.
The attacks were a bit repetitive as well.
Still, it is just a demo, so were not seeing a large chunk of the game.
Could turn out better with that added RPG'ish depth once it releases..
also some of the characters seem to be over powered because of their type of attacks when they face a particular character. i have this feeling that if you choose one of the under powered character, the game will be much harder to beat compared to picking a character thats better all rounder. what i am saying is, character imbalances probably will exist. we will see. judging by the demo only i think there already is character imbalances where some are very good and strong and others are limited.
It was a'ight.
I'm not all that fond of fighting in the air and the voices are repetitive and get annoying very quickly.
I actually kinda like it, it was fun. All I have to say that the fighting mechanic is different from any psp fighting game I've ever play. First choice was Cloud and he seems kinda slow, but his buster blade is powerful. On the other hand Sephiroth has speed and he is the best, especially with that long sword.
Isn't that the case with all fighting games with voice acting? It was a'ight.

I enjoy the air combat, the fast paced battles, brave points system, animations and let's just say that this is one of those PSP games I'll be playing a lot. The only thing I would like in the REAL Release is to be able to play online, because I don't think I'll have friends gathered around a PS3 playing ad-hoc!

Yeah.
clouds attitude is worse then ever (I think it is even worse then advent children) and I am FORCED to hear it >< stuipd good fighting style and bigg ass sword
I had just preordered it before downloading the demo. It was going to be a first day buy for me anyway. I enjoyed the battles, though I wish I could have played as Squall. I've never been the best at fighting games, but I do enjoy them, and it's a bonus that its in the FF universe. I know I'll love it.
That means the english one is way better.clouds attitude is worse then ever (I think it is even worse then advent children) and I am FORCED to hear it >< stuipd good fighting style and bigg ass sword

I tried the demo, and I'm not sure what to think of the game. My concerns are whether there's any real depth to the combat and if the game is balanced. It feels like once you or your opponent goes into EX mode and lands their attack, it's basically game over, even though you can reduce the damage. Apparently, all the villains are signficantly different compared the heroes, so maybe they can demonstrate how fun combat can be, because I didn't get that from the demo characters.
I have a feeling that the single player mode will be OK due to the RPG elements, but the multiplayer will be unbalanced.
the lines for cloud and sepiroth are so depressing. why are they so emo. "i won't sleep well tonight". they could have come up with better lines for him than these. too many emo one liners.
[QUOTE="freakbabyblues"]Isn't that the case with all fighting games with voice acting? Hmmm... Pretty much, but that doesn't make it any less annoying in this game :P Anyway, has anyone had a match that only lasted about 5 seconds without using the EX core? That happened to me a few times when playing on hard...It was a'ight.

Non-emo lines would be out of character.
I really enjoyed it, except for the ridiculous amount of dodging that goes into Hard mode. It's dodge all over the place until you can actually land a solid hit.
Brave hits, sure, but when you're trying to get that 2k point hit off, good luck. Other than that, I love it. Grinding on the rails of light is really fun as well.
I find it fun as hell. I do have one complant on hard cloud of darkness feels so overpowered and cheap.

yeah, he should be over it after THE FIRST GAME! (even then it was painful) it been 1 game and 1 movie and he STILL whines like hell. GET OVER IT *slaps cloud*
THIS oh god this. I hate Cloud of Darkness on Hard. I go into attack and have to split second block almost every time.I find it fun as hell. I do have one complant on hard cloud of darkness feels so overpowered and cheap.

Ugh, its that annoying like O air attack that makes a huge orb field around her...and then she does it constantly sucking you in. As long as you can dodge once out of range a braver attack is almost sure to hit.
Hahaha dark cloud will rape sephiroth like every other time.... by far the best character on the demo was onion knight. His combos were insanely good and hard to dodge.... get one hit off and just keep at it they lose. I don't know about the lack of moves in this game.... it seems that is more how you do something not exactly what you do.I actually kinda like it, it was fun. I had 3 five-second battles with her. I didn't have a problem with Cloud of Darkness using her either...[QUOTE="lilrichy209"]Hahaha dark cloud will rape sephiroth like every other time.... by far the best character on the demo was onion knight. Each character has 2 air moves, and 2 ground moves for each attack type. 8 moves, plus some have different move depending on distance from the target (Sephiroth does anyway). BUT...Only hitting one button and a direction seems somewhat ridiculous.I actually kinda like it, it was fun. I liked the Demo, was awesome :P
I can see what poeple say about some repetitive attacks...but...guess the huge roster of characters make up for it. What they really should had done was put certain combo lists and such. But who cares lol if SE sold lot of copies in Japan, taht's good enough for them.
demo was awful , the problem with the ff series is that it has too many die hard fans,
se could put out a turd with ff branded on the side of it and some would rave how great it is
