1. Its not as sexy
2. There is no touch sensitive buttons (which I personally really like)
3. Im thinking there will probably be a lot of hardware/software issues at first
4. Not crazy about the Flat black finish

Why do you think a Slim down version with smaller chip set will have more problems than the last ones? It simply is a remodel and Sony normally makes very reliable products unlike someone else I won't mention. LOL.
very true . . . cough* Microsoft cough* cough* lol but I just think that anytime a system (r anything for that matter) goes from being tested by a few hundred (or even a few thousand) testers to a world-wide release - a LOT more issues will accur - however I trust sony with my life so im sure they will fix any problems as quickly as possible - and I could be wrong - the release could go perfectly lol we shall see I guess
It's unnecessary. It doesn't even shine! I'd rather havemyshiny grill console than pay god knows how much more for a squashed NON-SHINY version of it.
so let me get this stright the new slim ps3 doesnt have sd card etc playback ,, or storage , i didnt know this , so much for those lies on those youtube videos -that it was more flexible memory wise thats thrown out the window . hopefully it doesnt over heat like my first ps2 slim
You're better off getting the fat PS3 rather than the new one. Hard drive space is irrelevant since you can always swap it out later on for a MUCH larger one. Just my opinion.Kravyn81Nope, they improved the cooling, less power consumption and smaller form factor. No reason to get the fats anymore.

Its easily better value for money and better hardware. The hardware does the same but brings new elements such as a smaller model, a cooler model, a less power consuming model and a quieter model. It has an upgradable HDD just like the previous model. Only downside people seem to see if that its not shiny which is a poor excuse not to get one and get an original. I chose the slim and im glad I have, i thought it was ugly but then i watched this and I changed my mind, im probably one of the only people on these forums and many others that think it looks ace! The images dont do it favours but this vid shows all angles, its actually shiny all over apart from the top so its not all dull like the ps2 slim. Definately get the slim, why get a console thats got an updated version that is far better value for money just for originality and a shiny top side. not worth it. Slim for the win! oh heres the link to that vid btw, explains all thats in the slim package and shows you all of the sexy model against a regular model. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VL8W3kiQxQ&NR=1 hmm link wont link properly oh well just copy it :DHDD is upgradable still which is good. Fat Ps2 = win slim Ps2 = phail. sony had its share of hardware issues last gen...lets not finger point here.complete and utter trust in first gen electronic equipment = epic phail. if theres anything history shouldnve tought you is to NEVER EVER trust anything electronic thats a new release. the first gens always are the buggiest, not matter what yorue dealing with. im sure sony will take the neccessary steps to solve the problem WHEN it happens thoughvery true . . . cough* Microsoft cough* cough* lol but I just think that anytime a system (r anything for that matter) goes from being tested by a few hundred (or even a few thousand) testers to a world-wide release - a LOT more issues will accur - however I trust sony with my life so im sure they will fix any problems as quickly as possible - and I could be wrong - the release could go perfectly lol we shall see I guess
