There really could be servally reasons why I think Sony & Apple schould hook up:
1. They both belive in giving everything everyone will need in one device, without add ons. (I-Phone , PS3) 2. They both would like to cut into M$ earning by offering a alternative. 3. Apple can easily fit in with the PS3 with the idea of Apple OS for the PS3.

ah it probably would, great competitors can become ur greatest allies, they dont have to become allies on every product just one or two, ya know, its not killing people, its just products, the leaders of both corps have got more money in their wallets then we do in our life savings combined.

Never say never. There is a possibility that this can happen, for all the reasons the TC mentioned. It really seems like a winning combo...some1 should at least present this to Sony or Apple, or both, because they probably don't realize this business opportunity yet. The ps3's future keeps looking brighter by the moment.

Ive already started with my own personal revolution, i just purchased a apple macbook pro 15" 2.33Ghz core 2 duo. 2G RAM woohoo. Im throwing my pc out the window(window hah, im lame i know). I also pledge to never buy ms products ever again. I actually traded my 360 in for 200 bucks to put towards my macbook pro. Im all for SONY + APPLE.
If they combined together to take out MS that would be making a monopoly which is illegal but freaking sweet lol. But they could find ways around it. I could picture White PS3's coming with pre-installed MacOS

 Dude, please. That's a terrible idea. Sure they'd likely make something really sleek and cool -- and so damn expensive that it would barely penetrate the market. Apple marks everything up like 40-50%...they'll never be willing to sell anything for a loss. Not gonna happen. Not to mention Apple TV...think Sony's gonna scratch Blu Ray anytime soon? Hmmm.... And the Apple logo on that webpage has already been explained...it was totally accidental.

sony has a program that is just like itunes. it is called "sonic stage". ur idea up there would hurt sony's wallet.
cause we all know that big companies prowl game forums for bussiness strategy. yeah not gonna happen. i mean the iphone isnt even out yet and there are  products just as good. ones that arent specific to one phone company(cingular). dont believe me take a look at the nokia N91 8gb. the iphone is only a new concept to the american comunity the rest of the world is far ahead.

That would be cool, sony and apple should team up to make the psp2. It might be shunned by some hard core gamers but it would definetly sell like hot cakes...

No, Sony and Apple are way too big competitors, especially on the music market where Sony is more likely to team up with MS. Also the iPhone, now that will compete with the PSP which Sony has been planning to be used for telecommunication as soon as wireless internet got enough of the market covered (yes Ken thought of it first). Another thing is that Sony already makes mobile phones (the fastest growing brand) where the iPhoe could screw up their plans with the Walkman line. About OS, Sony will get a lot more from using Linux products.
Apple is starting a new project codenamed iMedia in october this year....it looks like it will be the fourth nextgen console\mediacenter...i don't think sony and apple will collaborate from this point of view but an exclusive of itunes to the ps3 would be a great idea...or atleast somethin like that....

Sony and apple has already been together.
Cell processor, Blu ray.  Look at the supporters and people who worked with them on them.
The point of this was that I believe the PS3(Sony) needs to use one of its greatest asset, the fact that you can install a OS on it. I remember the boys over at IGN saying that no one would intall Linux and to tell you the truth "few will install Linux". The fact is Linux just doesn't advertise and few people people will want to do it cause they don't know about it. NOW! Who do we know who like to advertise there OS and isn't Windows? I think you can see my point.
no way apple makes billions of dollars from windows users. Sony makes many products that are a direct competition of Apple. Compared to only one with M$. Most of Ipod users are PC users. What next we'll get a white PS3 and call it IPS3.Â
If anything knowing how Apple does things so quirky. They will hookup with Nintendo. Not that I would like to see that happen. But think about it. 1 the Wii is  selling like hotcakes and right now has a larger install base than the PS3. 2 for the most part they don't have any products that are in the same market. 3 The Wii appeals to a larger market base than the PS3.
For Apple that would be a smarter business move.  I don't think and don't want this to happen.
