Are all the ps3 controllers like this?

I was at my friends house playing ps3 n i think he had he standard 6axis controller. Im not sure if its just that one but i notice the changed the triggers. I think its the L/R-1 ones. The ones on the very bottom. I think that for ps2 they just wen straight in wen u pressed em, now it seems like for the ps3 that only the bottom part gos down like a trigger.

Has this always been like that or did it change from ps2 to ps3?

Yea i thought that it was changed. It did seem a little different wen i was playing MGS4. To be honest, it felt a lil akward/uncomfortable. Are their any other controllers that are like the old ps2 ones that'll work for the ps3

Overall yeah. Though I find my fingers sometimes slip a bit when holding them down. I wish Sony had made them concave like a regular trigger.

You'll get used to it. Although yeah, it's sort of difficult to press it all the way rapidly when you need to
