Are these games worth it to buy?

Hello, next month a new version of the ps3 slim comes out (just new color) but i'm finaly going to buy one for myself.

So I have a list of games I want to buy, are they worth it? (Most of them are cheap now.) PS. I tried a few levels of UC 2/3 and liked it so far.

-Uncharted 1,2 and 3 (waiting for GOTYE of UC3)

-Killzone 2/3

-MAG

-Restistance 1/2/3

-Medal of Honor Frontlines HD

-SOCOM Confrontation

-Heavy Rain.

Recommendations are welcome (exclusive).

I enjoyed Heavy Rain a lot, in fact, it's probably my favorite exclusive on the PS3. The others on your list, I wasn't interested in, though I did play Uncharted which I found to be decent.

I'd recommend Valkyria Chronicles, which is a slightly older strategy RPG by Sega. It's a great game.

Heavy Rain, Uncharted and Socom 4 (online classic is better than confontation) are worth buying. Also GOW3, Ratchet and Clank A Crack In Time, MGS4.BigBoss255

Yeah but I can't realy find Socom 4 here cheap, is Confrontation similar to Socom 4? Also thx for the reminder of GOW3 :P.

I haven't played all those games, but I would say Killzone 2 was an absolute standout for me, SO much freakin fun playing through that game. Plus given the cheap price it's available for now I would say it's a steal. It was even better than Killzone 3.

Killzone games are the FPS stars of PS3.
Uncharted series are the PS3 superstars.
Heavy Rain is like a much longer and playable thriller-movie.

To the rest of y'all: You haven't played Uncharted series even though you own a Playstation 3? Come on son.

Zipper Interactive was shut down, so I think MAG is out of the question. Was fun while it lasted.

God of War 3, inFamous 1/2 and Littlebigplanet 1/2. If you like racing try Gran Turismo 5

from your list I recommend UC 1-3, Killzone 2/3, Resistance 2/3, and Heavy Rain. I havent played the others

The only game that list that you should avoid is SOCOM CONFRONTATION.

Demon's Souls is a must own and play, if you're into Medieval RPG's and can handle the game that is. As far as exclusives go, you should own Uncharted, Resistance, Killzone, God of War, Infamous, MGS4, Demon's Souls. They are all must own exclusives if you are looking to collect great games and build a nice library. Notable multiplats are Red Dead Redemption, GTA, Fallout, Prototype 2, Bioshock, Skyrim, Dead Space, Resident Evil, Dark Souls, Crysis, Vanquish, LA Noire. These are games you would most likely enjoy so get on that.

Mhh, Demon Souls looks good. Well I own most of those other multiplats. I'm more focusing on exclusives.

And i'm not so sure about MGS4, only played one of those on the ps1 and it did not bother me. I would realy like to buy the 4th but it seems to get hard into the story.

I have Resistance 2 and to me it's an average game, Killzone 2 however is the best shooter on PS3 with a long SP campaign, fun MP and offline bots mode.

Out of the games you listed I'd only recommend the Uncharted series and Heavy Rain. The other games either have dead online communities or are just generic shooters.

Yes with lots of boring side quests and leveling up.

uncharted series - yes (1 is pretty rage inducing at times...but 2 and 3 are the bomb) Resistance series - yes (only for campaign though... mp isnt that strong imo, though the first has some decent offline 4 player splitscreen) Medal of honor frontlines is one of my favourite ps2 games lol...but u probably would want something more "WOW!" lol The rest...eh..... rather get other games... killzone 2/3 are alright...but i like the resistance series more.. OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS: God of war 3 (God of war collection as well) Infamous 1 + 2 is a no brainer 3d dot game hereos (2d zelda like clone) Motorstorm Apocalypse Wipeout HD Furycampzor

Nono, tbh frotlines is my favorite ps2 game and my first ps2 game, just want to know if its a good hd release.

Testify. I put about 20+hrs into it, and found myself bored stiff. There's certainly plenty to "do", but the question after awhile becomes, "Why?"

Look at TC's statement, and the games listed, and tell me what makes anyone think "Oh, the VATS system and percentage-chance hit system for shots taken manually is just what this gamer is looking for... A nice WRPG is perfect". Listed are mostly FPS, and action-oriented games aside from "Heavy Rain". I'm not saying the game (F3) sucks, because that's your business... But TC isn't profiling shimself as leaning in that direction, whatsoever.

If you want my honest opinion, I don't enjoy FPS's and Uncharted 2 was pretty mediocre because gameplay was clearly not the focus of the experience. Gameplay is the biggest factor in any game I play and therefore, Heavy Rain was also a big no no for me.

The only advice I can give you is that if you need strong gameplay in a game, Uncharted and Heavy Rain are not very strong in that regard. If you enjoy the FPS genre, choose ONE of the many you listed

The Uncharted series, Killzone series and Resistance series are all worth checking out. Heavy Rain, God of War 3 and Infamous are awesome games too. These are fairly cheap now, and should keep you busy.

Personally, I didn't think much of the game because I felt like only around 30-40% of the players actually understood the focus of the game - Too many Rambo players, and that isn't MAG. I had a good team for the month or so that I played back around the game's launch, I'm not saying the game can't work, but the IQ-cards are stacked against it especially nowadays. If you have a mic and you're not a flake, you might be able to find a clan that'll have you. But it's not a good game for lone-wolf play. You need to work with a squad to get the most out of it.

The developer's doors are closed now, so maint. and other updating has been hung up for MAG as well. It's only a matter of time before it becomes hacked and/or a ghost town.

Ratchet and Clank A crack in time, Infamous 1, uncharted 2 are my favorite ps3 exclusive that i have beaten. Killzone, resistance single player isn't above my halos, gears of wars experiences
