Are you buying SOCOM 4?

It's scheduled to release for Fall 2010. Will you be picking it up?

Not a fan of TPS games really, and Confrontation was a pretty bad game, but if Zipper does do a decent job with Socom 4 I might check it out, Ill wait for the reviews though

I chose day one buy, but I'll be picking it up probably in Q1 2011. Looks really, really cool.

Iv been waiting for this game since i saw it,even tho its breaking alota hardcore socom fans hearts with its new direction and MOVE lol.I think its something that would satisfy me,squad tactics and reading combat situations etc.Id check the reviews still but i doubt it wud sway me from getting it cause iv researched too much about this game not to end up playing it

Socom is pretty much playstation's official shooter, so yeah I am gonna buy it.

If socom 4 is any good id probably buy it as i love the 3rd and i need a good ps3 only online shooter that i like,like i have halo 3 and gears for 360. Loved killzone 2 and got the platinum but it got old. I didnt stopped playign socom 3 the ps3 forced me to when it died!

Obviously, but they haven't said whether they're making it with the DualShock or Move as the main control scheme.

I'll be picking it up as soon as I find out there's a hardcore mode online. One that plays like old Socom titles, without health regeneration. I'm sure that'll be there though. If not, then I'll just be shocked.

If the Beta is enjoyable, then yeah.

I love shooters that are more realistic, and since they added the single player back into SOCOM --and the fact that the game is looking incredible to me so far-- I'm definitely buying it on day one.

Day 1 buy for me. Right now I'm just playing the heck out of socom confrontation.

Reread the sentence I made all pretty and big, do you know how many socom vets HATED socom confrontation?I've played the game, and while it was not pure garbage it still sucked pretty bad, and I love realistic type shooters that take a lot of time to get good at. Rainbow six, Battlefield, Operation flashpoint, Socom, swat, etc, etc. Maybe you socom confrontation fans need to stop jumping down people's throats when they are just telling the truth. You have fun with the game, great. That still does not change the fact that the game could have been A LOT better.

It depends on if it scores above 80% on both Metacritic and GameRankings and how soon it reaches 19.99£ or less at a retailer selling it new.

Because i am buying move, this is the only hardcore game for it (as of yet) so i'll get it. Hopefully reviews will be good.

So theres still people who thinks this game was made for PS MOVE,how about watch the E3 demo interview video here on gamespot and see where the guy said they made it with the DUALSHOCK and then move came along...People are just plain lazy. And for the Vets and Non Vets who are still having problems with the new direction the game is having,i think its time everyone accepted the change.Not everyone would buy Socom if it just catered for the Hardcore fans alone,im still very sure it would have Hardcore in it but its definately guna be more casually so that others can be introduced to the brand so stop complaining. Grandjury should also loosen up,im not sure that bloke was targetting you with his statement,obviously you are a battlefield vet(guide maker) but thats also not socommegaspiderweb09

I spent almost two months punishing myself with Socom: Confrontation beta. Then I bought the game and it continued to suffer for another 2-3 months until Slant Six finally released over 2GB of patches to make the game enjoyable.

I'm a big Socom fan but I'm sorry, Confrontation is not nearly as good as previous Socom games and the fans of the game have all the right to be upset.

Now, Socom 4 is not done by Slant Six but by the team who gave us Socom 2, the best one is series and I do have a lot of fate that we're up for fantastic title.

Will I be purchasing Socom 4? I'll decide once the game is out and I see for myself what it has to offer. I'm done with the impulse/hype buyouts. This generation is a letdown for me.

Good games are lost in numerous hype trains.

Yeah well, SOCOM 4 has health regeneration in the campaign but they haven't talked about multiplayer. I would assume it will have casual/hardcore modes like every other multiplayer shooter. Hardcore > Casual imo.
