No, I'm not disappointed with Sony or the PS3... Instead, I'm disappointed with developers...disappointed instead that developers can't get their act together and all make content for the PS3 that is as quality as Metal Gear Solid 4Brendruis
I agree here
No not at all. Some aspects of what is goin on inside sony may be a bit messed up right now, but thats no reason to hate or be dissapointed.
When I mean messed up things the biggest is release dates..If your going to give a release date on something, dont just hide that its gonna be delayed n stuff..Then a good month after say "O well you know, there were bugs and its in the ____ phase."
Not cool. Not dissapointed though. Ps3 has been great.
i am not at all disappointed with the PS3(to advanced for Devs right now), because i know the potential of the system. It upsets me on the developers behalf they need to get there act together instead of making mediocre games compared to MGS4. Once the Devs figure it out(how to use the ps3 to its full potential) then we will see more games like MGS4 and have more games with 10/10 which =more ps3 purchased more money for devs and then the PS3 will have great exclusives.POPEYE1716
Very well put, it's still really to early to expect the developers to get the hang of the PS3's hardware/software. I think the next year or two will just get better with each game release.
Nope Im enjoying every moment of playing my PS3. The only thing that I'm mad about is not knowing the release date of Tekken 6. I've been waiting for 2 years already when is this game going to be released?
Not in any way .. the Playstation 3 is a solid systems with some great games .. yes our library isn't huge but definately got some quality in there ..
And we will be getting some really good games in the coming year .. looking forward to it ..
I am very happy with my PS3.. 2008 has been a good year for the console and 2009 will even be better.
My only complaint was with the first version of the PSN store but they fixed the interface and now the store is just great. Way to go Sony you guys are back in the game ;) 2009 will be the year of the PS3 even if the Wii hardware sells more, the PS3 will have better quality games im sure of it ^_^
not really....i think out of all the next gen systems the ps3 has more potential and i dont think anyone can disgree with this. It took them awhile to get going but right now i think things are getting better and better. For ppl that bought the ps3 at the beginnning im pertty sure they went though a tough time, as there werent that many great games. If you bought the ps3 recently (like me) the game libary is pertty big with more on the way(thinkin of FFXIII).
The thing i think sony can improve the most is its online stuff. I know its free but i think they can do better to serve the customers. Maybe Home will help improve the online features....we'll see.
what ppl have said is true and i agree....some developers are disapointing this gen.
But the console itself i think is great and im not disapointed with it at all.
Not in the slightest. I'm more dissapointed int he developers complaining about PS3 and not bringing games to this wonderful system. Kojima made one of the greatest games ever an exclusive to PS3, but I bet developers will still say it costs too much or isn't worth it.
And moreso than that I'm disappointed in humanity. What is the unyielding need to team kill and talk trash ALL THE TIME online? Have we dropped that far into moronity?
And why?UnrealSin_XI'm disappointed with the PS3's lack of games, long development cycles, constant delays, and Sony's out-of-touch with TRUE gamers. Sony should've had the price point more customer friendly from the get go. Sony should've created a more developer friendly console or much more better dev-kits that were actually more manageable for the devs. Now we have some developers who just refuse to work with the PS3 just because of it's architect, in particular the Cell CPU. The GPU in the PS3 should've been more thought out, then it wouldn't be causing a bottleneck in the system.
Sony needs to get in touch with us TRUE gamers again, especially the original PlayStation fans who feel left out and betrayed by Sony. Sony shouldn't have tried to sell the PS3 as a multimedia center first but instead as a gaming machine first and then a multimedia machine last. Lastly, Sony needs to reconnect with it's core audience and realize that the PlayStation name won't stay alive unless Sony has something to back it up with,,, and that's games. So that's why I'm disappointed with the PS3 and Sony.
I am very happy with sony, they have provided a great online network in my opinion certainly great for free.
I am pretty pissed off with developers, where are the offline multiplayer games? Jesus don't they think people have any friends anymore? Why else have a console?
I'm disappointed in Sony Europe being so poor with PSN content.
Never anything exciting on there. Why the MGS database didn't hit our PSN at the same time as Japan and America baffles me.
But, I'm mainly disappointed that people keep coming to this forum and asking these questions over and over again only to be greeted with the same answer all the time.
We're happy with our PS3s. Get over it!
A little. I am very disappointed how they promised full BC, gave us full BC, and then took it away. Now we have some BC that is only available for a limited time. Then Europe and other regions are completed screwed.
They would rule if they kept the 60gb and 40gb options.
ever heard of 360 fanboy? thats why@gamer082009
not tryin to be rude man but i see you bashing the ps3 all over the place, why dont you sell the thing if you dislike it so?

I agree with this statement on top of the fact I hate the XMB interface and pre installing my games upwards to 10 or more minutes.
So to put it simply as a FORMER Playstation fan YES I am disapointed in Sony and the PS3 and don't like the console as much as I like the 360.
Yes, because they're taking their time with everything. It shouldn't take a complete year to get something that looks really good on a system. When the ps2 came out, it had tekken tag tournament and ridge racer 5. But the best looking ps3 game at launch was ridge racer 7? Come on. Even resistence had too many last gen qualitys to make it even seem like a great graphical competetor. The whole game is littered with that ugly yellow tint, to help out the framerate.
Mgs4 is only the 2nd game on the system that takes advantage of its true power. The last one was uncharted, but it was hampered by bad VO and missing features *IE can't crouch in cover? newb forgetfullness*. Though most of the games that look truely amazing still have to have their resolution hampered with and then upscaled. *mgs4, or at least some cutscenes were*
Most multiplatform games still have some major issues on the ps3. So I have to stick with them on the 360. Its just from where this system is so hard to develop for. Even the ps2 was hard to develop for, but its one year head start allowed it to succeed from its where the money was made.
Guess in a way, you could consider this gen just like last. The xbox for 3rd and 1st party games, and the ps2 for its good exclusive lineup.
My question is, whats sonys ideas for the next gen? I mean, the next system will come out from someone in just 2 years, but making another hard to develop for system wouldn't be smart.
