in E3, hideo kojima, the creator of metal gear solid, said he was bringing the series to the xbox 360, its been a sony exclusive for a long time, are you disappointed that there is a likelyhood that he's steering away from the ps3? also list your fav ps3 exclusive.
Not really, MGS:Rising is just a small facet to the entire story. Really, most 360 gamers are either going to be confused by the story, or the story will be overly simplified and not please the long-time followers, but I'm not too worried, I'm just stoked to see some gameplay.
Metal Gear Solid was ported to the PC two years after it's PS1 release and recently remade for Gamecube. Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance was a timed exclusive to XBOX before coming over to the PS2. Only MGS3 and MGS4 were PlayStation exclusive.

Not at all. Would I be a bit peeved if Metal Gear Solid 4, one of the reasons I shelled out $500 for the PS3 went to the $200 360? Yes. MGS rising though I couldn't care less about.

Kojima is not heading the develpment of Rising, therefore, a simplified story could happen if the development team wants it to.
I was upset before but now i'm really not, cuz I really don't even consider this to be a real mgs game. They just gave it the name "MGS" to make 360 fanboys happy, and so that they would make some sales. First off it will be completely different from previous mgs games, it will no longer be a stealth and espionage game it will be lightning bolt action game. And also Kojima will not be writing the story for the game. And also solid snake will not be the main character in the game.
What would the point of being angry about this be really? The MGS series has been all over the place in case you didn't notice (Iphone, PSP & PS3, Xbox and soon 360, NES & GC, etc) Guess what, more people get to enjoy a Metal Gear game now and if that's a bad thing, then well I'm just dumbfounded.
Actually TC Hideo Kojima said that Metal Gear Solid: Rising was going to the Xbox 360. He himself will have absolutely nothing to do with the game, he didn't want to make a MGS on the Xbox 360. Plus it's not even a real metal gear game - it's a straight action title meaning that it'll end up as just another non-canon spinoff that people will largely ignore in sight of the proper MGS games.
Actually I feel good about it. Xbox player will get a "sniff" of what the real metal gear solid feels like. An MGS without snake is a gun with no bullets.

I was a bit disheartened, till I realized that 1. It's not even a traditional MGS game 2. It features Raiden as lead which is cool but it's not Snake 3. Hideo Kojima isn't even really working on the story for this one hes not really apart of the development So it doesn't bother me at all. I know I sound fanboyish.

I agree and with that anyone who buys any system for just one game in particular,believingthat, that game will not appear anywhere else, is not thinking.
I understand having a loyalty to a certain product, but just realise it a business first.

Actually Metal Gear Solid was on the first Xbox ... so it hasn't been exclusive and Metal Gear RISING is going to the Xbox ... they said nothing about Metal Gear SOLID.
MGS Rising will be a spin off and probably not a "regular" MGS. Who cares? Yeah I guess if this was exclusive it would a good deal for Sony but since it's not MGS5, you shouldn't really get all "fanboyish." I'm guessing MGS Rising will have stealth parts, like a ninja would have and combat parts like Ninja Gaiden.
I have been playing Metal Gear since NES and welcome the series to the 360, as that is my preferred console.
I am curious as to what this game has in store for us, it might just be up to par or dare I say it better than MGS4. Now whether this can be done or not is yet to be seen, but lets not be so quick to judge just yet.
I am also glad its going to 360 because if it has online, I dont think MS will be like Sony and let Konami F it up.

I don't want ANY restrictions, and to be honest, I think Kojima might have to scale back on this one to make it equal, which is disappointing.

You do know that the game is called Metal Gear Solid: Rising, not Metal Gear Rising?
The only reason I'd be mad is if I felt this game was held back in any department. I don't want this to have not as much dialogue so it's equal to it's other version. Has there ever been a multiplat held back because of the X360? No.
It bothers me. I paid an extra $100 so that I could get the games that 360 doesn't have. MGS is so far the only series that I play that is now not exclusive, but that lowers the value of my PS3; I have less for the extra $100 I spent. Luckily I don't play Tekken or FF, or I'd be fairly upset. However, I have fallen in love with Ninja Gaiden, so its a pretty decent trade.

No. To be honest I wouldn't care if it was an Xbox exlcusive. Not really interested in the series. If you love the MGS games, then be happy you get to play it at all. Don't be upset that a bunch of other people now get to share in your glory.
