are you satisfied with your ps3?

Actually i've decided to post this cause i have to get this feeling out of my chest,i want to share it with you guys.I still remember how excited and happy when i bought my ps3 on the 27th of march,Motorstorm was my first game it is cool but later i began to hear some rumors like resident evil 5 may not come to the ps3,ps4 will be releases in 2008 cause the ps3 was a failure,and what is going on with ubisoft?i read three days ago that you were cursing ubisoft but i didn't have much time to read them all,is ubisoft deciding on not releasing Assasin's Creed too or what?and why there is still no Silent Hill on ps3 yet?are they having issues on pragramming it on ps3?cause it is really one of my favourite games,and why the hell the 360 is still shining over the ps3 despite that the ps3 have more powerfull capabilities,iam not against the 360 but the truth is i grew up with the playstation 1,2 and now the thirs console,sony must work harder to push the developers to let some games exclusive like final fantasy and resident evil games, and why some games isn't released yet like killzone2 i cant wait to play it...but at the end iam still happy with my ps3 but i still have some bad feelings and i hope that sony will work harder...much harder.meharu

Not really that satisfied. I like the system quite a bit. But to be honest I was really expecting far too much from it.

Had some great times with Resistance, Motorstorm, Oblivion, and Call of Duty 3. But I still had alot more fun with the last generation with the PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube. Overall disappointed with the PS3.

ok, i was a very big Nintendo fan till i met ps1, since then i´ve been Number 1 fan of sony, i bought my ps3 on january, since ´that time i´ve had great times with it, first of all, for those saying that they are a little disappointed with their ps3´s should tell me what other consoles out there can play 3 different gen games, free online, 1080p res, 60 gigs out of the box, soon to have home(which for me is the biggest online capability of the current gen, this is true nex gen).

besides you should tell me if you are disappointed WITH your ps3 or WITH the lazy Devs not making games for it, or good ports. there´s Bethesda which did a great job with Oblivion showing that the ps3 can handle better graphics and better load times.

Now, i´m very happy with my ps3, i have resistance, and i´ve never been a fan of FPS but resistance changed that for me, online was great, tell me what other console can handle 40 online players, with no lag and solid frame rate?, i also have ridge race, well ridge racer ah? :roll:

I am extremely satisfied with my PS3, I think you get out of your experience is what you put into it!  I think people are way to impatient and are expecting too much too soon, Sony can't just through everything into the system all at once!

I have to agree!!! The ps3 does have some catching up to do, but it is not as bad as the gaming media make it out to be. All console's struggle within the first year of it's release and the 360 was in the same position(if not worse) last year. If you would  spend less time on these forums and more time gaming, you wouldn't be worried as much.:)

i won my PS3 so i'm very lucky.  if i had to pay for it, i'd be pretty upset at the lack of content 6 months into the life of the system.

that being said, i am enjoying PS2 games i never played before since i'm not a console player.  and i'm sure i have a lot to look forward too over the life of the PS3.  i'm not satisfied, but i'm not unsatisfied.   in the long run, i think this will bring me back into the fold of console gaming.

now i gotta an hdtv tho...

Well, for the millionth time this thread has been made, yes I am.

The mind set seems to be that everybody's so impatient and wants the next flash in the pan. The system just came out in Nov, an entire library of games doesn't magically appear. I don't get why people seem to think that. From what I remember, Sony consoles have always had a bit of a slow start, but the long run is where they shine. We're probley going to be seeing a load of games starting through the summer, and well into the fall. Just cause you like Silent Hill don't mean it's going to be made faster. You'll find out soon, first of all if they're even making another one (though I think would be something killer visually).

Ubisoft on the other hand, seems to be fudge packing with Microsoft cause for some dumb reason, they completely hate PS3. I just wish Ubi would just go under their payroll and be done with it. Quit BSing I'd say. It's cause they're too lazy to even work with the PS3, cause everybody else can do it, why can't they? Just be apart of the company you like so much and wait to see unlockable Master Chief in Spliter Cell:roll:

Unreal... I get the feeling there are more people who bought the PS3 at launch than there were for the PS2 (at launch), it's the only explanation I can come up with... They oughta know that the PS2 was pretty much the same price with the same amount of games.

That's it. No more defending the PS3 for me. (Especially with someone who says that he already owns one.)

So far im very happy with my playstation 3. Online is great, much better then i expected and very close to xbox live, probably soon to surpass it with Home. Im happy with my games; flow, tekken, virtua tennis, NBA 2k7 and resistance. Resistance is really good with 40p online and flow is suprisingly good and well worth £3.50. Looking foward to oblivion which sounds astonishing. Finally i realise that many of the top games arent coming out for a few months, despite this i enjoy the anticipation and am prepared to wait and fill up the gap with oblivion. Coming September i wont know what to pick between Lair, Assasins Creed, GTA iv, FFXIII, and so on.

As a PS3 owner since launch (us) i am very proud of my PS3,and i dont have an HDTV yet,getting one this saturday,but anyway im impressed in the what the PS3''s young age can do, and just looking at the games coming out makes me even happier..jedi_marcos

You're in for a surprise!  I played SDTV for 3 months, I'm not going back :D

But, yea, people who are saying stuff like PS3 on SDTV is a masacre are slightly exagerating

The question is are you satisfied with your PS3?  Hmm......  I'm satisfied & dissatisfied but with good reason.  I'm satisfied because I'm actually enjoying great high quality movies & being able to play all my PS2 games on it without any problems!  I'm dissatisfied because of the choices/selection of video games.  I not gonna compare it with the XBox 360 or any of that bull**** but I know this.  The Xbox 360 has been on the market for a couple of years so Game Developers know their way around the system. 

I just have to be patient but I know there'll be great games coming soon! 

i'm dissapointed currently. however, maybe around fall my feelings will change.

I don't get why people seem to think that. From what I remember, Sony consoles have always had a bit of a slow start, but the long run is where they shine. We're probley going to be seeing a load of games starting through the summer, and well into the fall. Just cause you like Silent Hill don't mean it's going to be made faster. You'll find out soon, first of all if they're even making another one (though I think would be something killer visually).

Well then you should have waited on the games BEFORE buying the console! Your argument just sounds so silly. Is this your first time buying a console at launch or something? Anytime you buy a system at launch you have to wait for the good games. No system is exempt or ever has been.

You missed a big word in my post "research". It was known well before launch that not all the titles they initially mentioned would be released. Yes there were a few titles that surprisingly didn't end up at launch but what? Already saying "didnt know that it was going to lose half of its exlusives" and "We can easily blame advertsing or even people like you for hyping this system up so much" proves you're just a "regular consumer" and not one who has done any research on the machine before purchasing it.

You should've known what you were getting into spending that much money on this machine. And it really bites that you haven't gotten anything out of it yet, but many out there have had a good time with their Playstation 3's. You don't use Bluray? too bad. You don't like the games out currently? Too bad. You've made your purchase, it was your choice, suck up and take the hit in your wallet. Suck it up and wait. There's nothing else you can do about it is there?

If you knew anything, you would know that Playstation 3 still has a tonne of exclusives left, even if it did lose "some" to multi-platform status. And as for the hype, hype is only a factor if you let yourself be influenced by it. Again that is your fault as a consumer.

First of all, it's only lost 3 exclusives... less than the 360. Second, it still has more exclusives coming out than the other two systems this year. Third, the final launch games were announced in October and did not change after that... so it seems to me that you just made an ill-informed decision.
