I was playing AC3 well into the night for several hours yesterday, I had no problems at all. The game runs at a very high resolution, and it's so beautiful, I love the new engine. Just wish the combat was more challenging.

The Assassins Creed series has always had issues with dropping framerate, especially on the PS3.

I am also currently noticing that I have a lot of frames drop and that the game isen't running as smooth as it is supposed to do... Anyone have a fix or anything? Currently running the game on my PS3 slim 350 gb and on a 47 inch full hd lcd tv!

Same here. I wouldn't say it's unplayable though. I've seen worse framerates before. But chasing down those book pages when the framerate is chugging like this isn't exactly what I call fun. Strangely enough the framerate is just fine in the frontier and homestead areas.

It's possible some people just don't know poor framerates when they see it.

I've chased several pages as well and don't remember having any difficulty with the FR dropping. Next time I'll be more aware to see if I notice anything at all.

I'm not having major problems. The framerate dips in the mid twenties sometimes but it isn't a huge deal.

No problems with AC3 here. It does slow down to like 20-25fps but it's still pretty much playable in the cities....not 10fps like you say. Maybe some problem on your end. Try re-installing the game data.

OK, so I played a little over two hours tonight and mainly hung out in Boston completing/collecting stuff. No slowdown to report during chasing almanac pages.

Does anyone noticed the painful lag that AC3 has on ps3? I thought PC's are the ones that get horrible ports looks like consoles are also falling into the same fate. The game has a typical 10FPS at certain points(cities). These devs should take thier time for optimizing their game engines. Also please dont say ps3 cant handle AC3, we all know thats not true, look at uncharted series.

nishanth12

That's your problem.

No, the 360 version is f**ked as well.

And yes, running through Boston absolutley murders the framerate. Makes my fear for how Far Cry 3 will run.

Since the first AC? Really? I have not encountered any slow down of any sort in any AC game I have played to date. And from the descriptions from people who say they are experiencing it, it wouldn't be something hard to miss (slideshow quality).

What sort of mindless tech support guy babble is this, reinstalling game data ? There is nothing wrong with our installation and if you haven't experienced the lag, don't be so quick to answer, play further and you'll get to it eventually. It has nothing to do with the game files or the PC/Console specs. My PC meets all requirements. It's poor programming that's causing the lag and if you finish the game without noticing lag, it only proves that you don't know what lag is. FFR Boston lags all the time, no matter what super-computer you own, but framerate really went downhill for me at Sequence 6 Boston mission just as I entered the city.
