Assassins Creed, is it worth buying?

Well in that case, there are a lot of games you could like. R&C, COD4 (Dont have it, but everyone says its awesome), Warhawk (Not for everyone), Unreal Tournament 3 (Again, not for everyone), Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Devil May Cry 4 (Has awesome written all over it). There are many games you could get that are better choices than Assassins Creed.

EDIT: Just as a reminder, DMC is a very fun action game. If you want something fun, you couldn't go wrong there. IMO no action game is better.

I'm going to pick it up for 39.99 - 10 bucks at best buy tomorrow. I would get it for the 360, but achievements aren't worth $10 :) I wasn't 100% on it when I tried it (Played through the first level or two), but I'll give it a shot for 1/2 the retail price.Staryoshi87

Its love or hate (most love though). Some people tell me its way overrated, others says its gold.

It depends on what kinda games you like... did you like Hitman? If so, you may like this one.
