(Sorry if there's a thread on this already but there are alot of threads to look through)

So the other day at work we got the new King of Fighters game, I'm looking at the box art (both PS3 and 360) and feeling very underwhelmed with the way it looks. The font is small and just the box art in general is very bland (to me that is).

So what I'm trying to say is does the box art on video games kinda make you decide on if you want to get it or not? Just by the way it presents itself?

I understand there are demos for a majority of games but that's not what I mean and not all games released have demos out for them.

I prefer nice art on the cases, but it doesn't change my view of the overall game. I see what your getting at

The only time I've ever bought a game based on box art was when I bought the Bouncer. Saw the Squaresoft label and I was like "Alrite this will be good." Needless to say, I beat the game the same day and started reading reviews since then.

"Never Judge a book by its cover" That saying is very true for video games. It may look appealing, but you never know until rent the game. I ALWAYS rent BEFORE purchase. Saves me money. It helps decide if i reallyy want the game or not.

Not really. Box-art never comes to mind when I want to get a game. I just care about the game itself.
