Any way to get the PS3 controller to turn itself off after 5/10/whatever minutes of inactivity?

I don't think there is a way of having the controller to shut itdrlf down after a time of inactivity, it's not that hard to turn the controller off when your done using it. I never turn my PS3 off and everytime I finish using the controller I just turn it off via the XMB pop-up option.

I usually do remember to turn it off but occasionally I'll forget and half an hour later realise it. Would be a neat feature.

Why? I know if you take it certain distance from your PS3 it will turn itself off.

The battery life lasts ages, its not obvious! It lasts days in fact! That's why I say 'why?'
