Batman AA, GOTY is a joke...

Are you kidding me??? How many times have I seen it on these forums, like 9 or 10 times. IMO Batman AA was a very pleasent surprise, absolutely the best super hero game ever and a good game indeed but GOTY?!? Na,

I think people are gettin too hyped on the fact that the game was actually good. There's no way that Batman AA could beat the likes of Killzone 2, GT5, Assasin's creed 2, Uncharted 2, InFamous and of course MW2.

And I know Im not the only one who feels this way so speak up, you agree or disagree?!?

It's my GOTY thus far, but in a year that sees Uncharted 2's release, I know Batman won't be my overall GOTY.

Still, Batman has easily surpassed the other big games I've played this year, such as inFAMOUS, Prototype, RE5, Killzone 2, Street Fighter 4, etc., and will likely beat most of the other games this year for me.

Batman was way better than good but given the competition this year it more than likely won't be GOTY. It'll probably be MW2 just because.

I disagree. You think inFamous and KZ2 would have a better chance at getting GotY over Batman? lol

While I think Killzone 2 is the best game I played this year so far for theps3, and I liked inFAMOUS a tiny bit more than Batman ...... Batman is still a high quality game.I don't have a problem with anyone thinking it's their GOTY. Don't forget , there's also Street Fighter IV , Resident Evil 5 , MLB The Show 09, etc. All comes down to taste or opinions.

How can you give GOTY to games that you haven't played.. Batman is the best game of 09 thus far.. InFamous was terrible in my eyes.. and if Killzone 2 won GOTY that would be a joke..

10/6 comes around you will see people awarding GOTY to demon's souls because it is (already have played a bit of it) better than Batman.. then guess what! uncharted 2 comes out..

I award Killzone 6451 GOTY! that is just as outlandish a statement as awarding mw2, uncharted 2 GOTY....

Brutal Legend is my GOTY. Not to say I don't love all of the games mentioned above my post, but Brutal Legend oozes so much awesomeness. 8)

As of RIGHT NOW batman is GOTY but Uncharted and CODmw2 are ramping up fast

For me so far, it is easily GOTY. inFamous and Resident Evil 5 are the only ones coming close to it. But that could change with Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend coming out.

Nope money and popularity win Game of the Year. A game can be original but if no one buys it then it won't win anything.

MW2 is my GOTY, just because of what i've seen this game will not disappoint

Its called opinions. How do you know GT5, Assasin's creed 2, and MW2 are going to be better? I would take Batman over them anyday, MW2 hell yeah 4 hour campaign FTW *Sarcasm* Batman AA was simply a masterpiece and im gunning for more. If you end up completing the MW2 campaign in under 4 hours I STRONGLY suggest you stop playing on the easiest difficulties.

Like others, I don't see how you can say games that haven't even come out yet can beat Batman AA for game of the year. But, lets face it there are like 20 GOTY so there is room for everyone.

I agree 100%. I didn't even like Batman: AA that much. It was better than I thought it would be, but not even close to GOTY.

Batman: Arkham Asylum is already better than Killzone 2 and Infamous for me at least, and it'll easily beat Gran Turismo 5, Assassin's Creed II and Modern Warfare 2 for me too. It was simply a fantastic game that will be hard to beat and is easily one of the best games of the year. Trying to downplay it's success is just silly. Silent-Hal

Dont get me Wrong Batman Arkham Asylum Was an amazing game but theres so many other games that deserve Game of the year it should win an Award just not GOTY but Batman AA will definately not BE better than GT5 or AC2 Or MW2

It's my GOTY so far until another game can prove otherwise (yes, I'm looking at you MW2 and Uncharted 2.)

Was there any thought put into this topic before it was submitted? Seriously, people are all going to have different choices in what they "think" is GOTY, because that is their opinion.

Sheesh, for all you know it could get GOTY but then at the same time, so could any other AAA game mentioned in this thread.

I like it better than the games you mentioned that are currently out. It's definately my favorite game so far this year. Uncharted 2 may grab that posistion within my mind, but I'll just have to wait and see.

I don't think it will be GOTY either, but it's definitely top 10.

No its not a joke. The only game that will keep it from GOTY (for me) is Uncharted 2. Killzone and Infamous were good, but the fun factor wasnt there like batman.

Its my GOTY so far! Its beaten the likes of Killzone 2 and Infamous in my opnion. I think that Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2 could beat it though

Batman may be good, but GOTY it's not. KZ2, UC2, Infamous, MW2 and others are all better contenders.

I'm also liking Batman much more than Infamous and Killzone 2, I'm only a couple of hours into the story but this game is incredibly polished. The detail of the environments is fantastic and the gameplay is really good.

If it wins GOTY I wont complain - I would have to say Id rather Infamous won it right now though & obviosuly theres some high expectation releases coming so would be surprised if it holds up in a top 3 placing. At the end fo the day though - it has far exceeded expectations and deserves some high recognition for that

You are a joke. I don't get why people are so overhyping Killzone 2. Batman is not a joke and if I'm not wrong it's the first game that'sbarelybased on''Batman'' moviesand actually succeeded unlike Spiderman, Iron man and many other MAN.

I've been playing shooters for more then 10 years and I'm sick of them.Kz2 and Uncharted 2?Sure great games,I palyed kz2 and I'm getting Uncharted 2 but I'm voting Batman AA for GOTY.And are you serious?You said yourself Batman is the best super hero game ever,well infamous is a super hero game too and I 100% aggre with you.And finally, if MW2 wins it wont be becouse its something new and original like Batman AA is but becouse of all the hype over a game thats been done 1000 times before.

I haven't played it yet.. it will be in the mail tomorrow, I am worried that I will like it but won't be good at it, lol.
