MW3 it don't need to hype its engine either like BF3 does!blaqphantomOnly because everyone knows how cod will be using the same engine since 1800's so we know how **** it will be. BF3 hype = justified because its you know, new and exciting. MW3 hype? yawn hey its the same game with rip off map packs and BS gameplay for bro gamers
Both are crap.0HamburgherAre you kidding? Battlefield has never been one of those "mainstream push out the same crap every year" kind of games. Battlefield has some of the best sound effects heard in any shooter right now, and please note how this is only Battlefield THREE, not Call of Duty 8. Battlefield and Call of Duty shouldn't even be compared to each other because they're nothing alike in either single player or multiplayer. They actually put real, human, intellectual thought into their single player stories and scripts in Battlefield. Have you ever played through the campaign of Bad Company 2? The script is so comical and well written, and the characters even take a few stabs at CoD throughout the game. BF3 is NOT CoD.
ill get both as a lot have people have said. im really hoping BF3 "wins" but cant really see it happening. ive played the CoD games since the beginning and agree they are getting a bit tiresome but the main selling point for me is the customisation of classes/perks etc (even though some people just use QS classes or MLC or OMA, Danger Close and noob tube)). ive not played and BF games, but i played MoH for a while. mutiplayer was fun but let down by minor points likethe inabillity to goprone. my main issue with it was the lack of customisation with classes. only 3 classes which you had have to unlock more weapons etc with. and this is the same setup in the BF series im told.anyway, i digress. my point is, if BF3 were to have the customisation of previous CoD games, it would be an absolute winner hands down (for those adults among us anyhow, not 12 YO's). all my mates share this oppinion too. anyone else? also, does anyone know if MW3 is gonna have destructible environments? this will be a huge factor too as BF3 is bound to have them
So I guess EA should stop bringing out FIFA, and the Bioshock and Uncharted series should stop too? And isn't BF on it's third game? Fair enough if you don't like the CoD series but that doesn't mean it should stop being released. It seems to have become fashionable to hate CoD. And the "crap" they keep pumping out means they must be doing something right. If one game was rubbish it is unlikely sales would have increased on the next installment, which they have. I'm a fan of FPS so I will buy both. Which ever is better, I won't feel the need to justify it to myself by flaming the other game.BATTLEFIELD 3. Dammit this has to end now, Call of Duty! This crap is ruining originality in the game industry.
Not a single person should buy MW3. I don't care if you like the game, do it for the greater good. Devs shouldn't be able to get away with pumping out the same crap every year. Devs are artists, dammit. Sadly they have gotten fat and turned into cash potatoes.

Battlefield 3looks excellent, unlike the Bad Company games which were good but nothing special.
MW3 will sell well, but it will include recycled graphics and setpieces from other games which will ultimately lessen the impact of each scenario.
I won't be getting either of them, but Battlefield 3 will undoubtably be better across the board.
Have you played a Beta then, how do you know? We've only seen some early footage and screen shots of both, statements like that are inaccurate. A lot of BF3 hype was based on high-end PC screen-shots, not even close to the console equivalent. I think it'll still be a great game though. I think judgement has to be reserved until they've been played surely?but Battlefield 3 will undoubtably be better across the board.

None, I'm still holding out for MAG 2. Amazing how much of a difference player count makes, all other battlegrounds since have felt barren and one-dimensional. I'm also keeping an eye out for Planetside 2, looks promising but I doubt it'd be worth a hardware upgrade.
I would recommend Battle Field 3 simply because MW 3 looks the same as MW2 and just about every other COD game out there. Sure it might be fun but I'm getting tired of the seriesand I'm just gonna pass on MW3.
Battle Field 3 looks much more impressive IMO with destructable environments and dedicated servers so it reduces lag, plus it has better graphics too.
You already said that you didn't really like MW from what you played so Battle Field 3 is probably more to your tasts.

No..........Uncharted and battlefield are only on their third games, that's perfectly acceptable. This is the eighth Call Of Duty. EIGHTH. The only thing they are doing right is brain washing people. I can't believe people are still paying $15 per map pack. Does no one remember back in the PS2 days where everything was on the disc already? They could very well include all these map packs on disc if they wanted to. They are screwing you guys over. But have fun, whatever.BATTLEFIELD 3. Dammit this has to end now, Call of Duty! I'm not justifying anything to myself by flaming another game. I'm not shallow, I never do that. See I just have this thing where I can spot the crap amongst the crowd, and I know what kind of games I like. I've always enjoyed Battlefield. If you were really a fan of FPS you would steer clear of MW3, because if you're anywhere near the FPS fan I am, you would no doubt know how much CoD has influenced every single other FPS out there. It has to stop.
Ha ha! MW3's got to be very short!1

And I suppose you have proof that Battlefield 3 won't?
the last time I owned an FPS was back when Goldeneye came out for the N64. Haven't owned one since and it doesn't look like I'll own one any time soon.

So you're not flaming when you say "this crap" refering to MW3, a game you haven't played. And you say I'm not a fan of FPS, like you'd know. Did I not say I was buying BF3 too? Oh wait, yes, I did say that. No one forces people to buy DLC or games - if you con't like the price, don't buy it. With DLC such companies do a lot of research to find out the maximum they can charge, whilst still maintaining high sales. You talk utter rubbish, "brain washing". I could agree with you if you just said it's expensive. And EA is just as bad as any other company with DLC, like Tiger Woods on release day. And look at Codemasters, there's been new DLC for DiRT 3 practically every week since release. This behaviour is not IW/Activison exclusive. Perhaps you should do some research before slating a game for such reasons. CoD is not ruining the originality of the games industry - if a game is good, people will buy it, regardless of how big the developer is. I think Angry Birds is the biggest selling game ever! Just this week Limbo has been release on PS3 and has had great sales.Infinity Ward has been pushing these modern warfare games for too long... Im surprised people are even thinking of buying it. sktguy165Infinity Ward have only had 2 Modern Warfare games, same as BF, so I would hardly consider that "too long". Treyarch did W@W and BO.
