Bayonetta...wtf???

Maybe it is just me but this game seems so strange to me that I feel I will not be able to get into it at all. I mean she can change into anything: a panther, a butterfly, a flock of bats, and some other type of bird. She summons giant monsters out of black holes and to top it all off she collects Sonics precious golden Rings.... smh. I played the demo and it was pretty good, but I am still unsure, because there was still something there that didnt do it for me.

I mean if any other publisher was making this game I would be less skeptical, but Sega has a history of having HORRIBLE stories that make No Sense whatsoever and gimicky gameplay...well, at least in my opinion.

Sega just ported the game, they didnt make it, Platinum games did. Also, the publisher doesn't necessarily make the game, that's the developers job.

You the magic word in your last paragraph. "if any other PUBLISHER"... Publishers do just that. They publish games. Publisher does not mean they developed the game. Sega didn't make it. Platinum Games did. Hideki Kamiya, the mastermind behind DMC is the one who is producing it. Sega is just making the port for PS3. They're not the ones actually coming up with the content of the game.Texas2089

Sega is just the publisher, it was developed by Platinum Games (formerly Clover Studios with Capcom) whose members are responsible for Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe, Okami, God Hand, and Mad World. Needless to say, they have some credentials.

Yes, it's out there, but you either give yourself over to the craziness (which is what the game is all about really), or play something else.

i wont be gettin it cuz ill be picking up darksiders and GOW3 but it looks good. the action looks stylish, badass, and pretty damn funny. However it does look pretty over the top so it might not be for everyone which is prolly y it dosent click with u OP.

2) Those are Angel halos, not "Sonic rings."

I gotta admit,

Sonic's rings were the first thing i thoguht of while playing the demo

Which i didn't really enjoy.

I love DMC, this just didn't feel up to scratch. Can't put my finger on why, but i won't be buying it

I think the rings were done as a nod to their publishing partner, even if they call them "angel halos"

I'm pretty she has butterfly wings that help her float in the air for a small amount of time when you press the jump button. She's doesn't actually transform into a full-out butterfly like she does a panther. I think there's a difference.

hey, first things first : the name is BAY-O-NETT-A!!! where did they find that name? she doesn't even remotely use a "bayonette" ... it seems (not officially confirmed) that Sony will try to make the awful porting Sega did better in USA and Europe before release.

It's a weird game, I don't like it, the thing that turned me off the most is that she gets half naked. stfu I don't want that in a game ffs

Three things I didn`t like about the demo:

1. The color scheme. I could hardly tell what was going on during a battle. Too many bright colors, not enough harmony.

2. The god-awful wapanese soundtrack.

3. The ridiculously overdone sexuality of the main character. It`s was so unbelievable I even felt a bit repulsed by her.

However, Bayonetta is a good hack and slash game but I think I`ll pass.

i actually enjoyed the demo more than i did dmc4 and i actually like the over the top sexiness of it, i think because i found the gameplay to be fun and the way they did the whole thing felt a little more tongue in cheek hawtness than full on pr0n if that makes sense. to me it was more of a "haha thats cute" than "OMFGSHESTEHS3XORZ"

wth... I feel when u take the wings of a butterfly you are changing into a butterfly( i mean what other physical characteristics does it have) it is basically the same thing... but whatever dude u got it. Thanx for pointing that out chief. :roll:

just played the demo for myself and i gotta say wow this game seems like its gunna rock! like i said earlier it is totally out their so it might not be for everyone but the action is epic and hilarious. im def going to get this game but maybe not at launch day cuz ima be playing darksiders
