When it comes to FPSes this gen, everyone knows that the multiplayer is where it's at:cool:
But that doesn't mean we shouldn't be given a memorable single-player experience in the same package, what are some of your favorite FPS campaigns this gen?

Deus Ex: Human Revolution (if you wanna call it a first person shooter), Bioshock, Killzone 2, Crysis.
When it comes to any game, the multiplayer is NOT where it's at. The single player is what's worth playing in every game, and I found the best FPS campaigns so far were:

I wouldn't say any game. Take any Call of Duty or Battlefield - I think most people would agree the multiplayer is where it's at.

Still, I only ever brought Call of Duty for single player, because I knew the online would be full of unlikeable people who ruin what fun could be had.
F.E.A.R.2
MW3
Condemned II: Bloodshot
ALIENS vs. Predator
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising (NOT "Red River" - icky-bad.)
Singularity
Resistance: Fall of Man
Wolfenstein
Killzone 2

Fair enough.
On PS3 hmmm i guess the Killzone games... 2 and 3. The campaigns weren't that great. KZ2 multi was the reason i love KZ. Good campaigns are on thrid person shooters IMO.

I, too, enjoy CoD for it's campaign mode... I thought that last one was a LOT of fun. Multiplayer, not so much. But the story mode was full of really intense stuff, FAR from realism and more to the "Die Hard" side as I like to call it. I know I'm in the minority, but I'm one of the people out there who plays the entire campaign first. Then, if I feel like it, a little MP.
I just got Killzone 2 and campaign is kinda boring sad to say.
There's plenty of action but I gotta stop playing after every mission and do something else.... I guess the controls make it a chore for me. And Garza's cheesy ass dialouge isn't helping either.
I love the MP though! now if only I can get my headset to work.

Good call! Some worthy titles there. F.E.A.R. 2 and Wolfenstein may not have great stories, but they are really fun. Condemned 2 is a violent treat, as is AVP :)

Yah-Mon!
I really don't understand people's 'tude about "AvP" - Of course, I only paid $10 as apposed to $60, so that may figure in, but as a fan of both franchises, I thought they did a reasonable job of integrating all the parts with a fairly good-playing mechanic. The Aliens were ass-kickers on harder levels, and I liked the AI in general.
If you have any interest, "Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising" is, for my money, as real as it gets. Playing that game on Hardcore Difficulty, once you've figured out the squad commands (a fairly daunting prospect, at first, but WELL worth it), and making it through an entire mission taking around 45min. to complete with no checkpoints or aiming aids, etc., you FEEL the accomplishment. Seven different missions, all takig place on an island that's continuous, so if you are in a mission in one part of the map, with a vehicle (or on foot), you can go anywhere else in the game. It keeps copious stats on every aspect of your missions, miles driven, guns fired or vehicles commanded vs driving yourself, helicopters... It's like ARMA for consoles...
For those few who have the stomach for it, I can't say enough good things about it - But it's NOT for CoD fans, I'll warn you. CoD is to "BurnOut" as "Flashpoint" is to "Gran Turismo", if you catch my drift. There's nothing like it on console anywhere else.
(The sequel I'm really not so hot on, because it's got CoD-taint on it.)
