Best Game Soundtrack

WipEout series for me, hands down.

Especially because of Studio LIVERPOOL's latest trailer for the Fury pack. (Full song can be found here.)

I also really liked the SSX soundtracks, and enjoy Uncharted's composed music.

MGS4, Uncharted and Medal of Honor: Frontline = top notch

then GTA: 3, VC and SA

Probably Metal Gear Solid 4 for overall. GTA4 has some great songs on some of the channels, and Mirror's Edge has a godly theme song. Other then that I really don't know. raven_squad

Oh yeah.

Mirror's Edge, too. Not just the theme song, but all the ambient chill music in the game is amazing. It adds the perfect futuristic cleanliness to match the city - Solar Fields really outdid themselves on that soundtrack.

In fact, Mirror's Edge and WipEout HD are my top two.

Surprisingly, not many games this generation have stood out for me soundtrack-wise. The occassional MGS4 and RE5 theme, maybe.

I think this is the best that the BlazBlue soundtrack has to offer. I liked it as a whole, but it also just sounded like GG to me.

Uncharted has some incredible music. Guns of the Patriots has awesome music as well.. actually all the Metal Gear Solid games do. I liked Halo series soundtrack too. Some of the music in Gears of War is pretty epic too. Diddy Kong Racing has a sweet soundtrack. So does Mega Man!

I could go on forever. :P

This generation was Mario Galaxy hands down for me. Runner ups would probably be MGS4 and Fallout 3.Duckman5

The Mario Galaxy soundtrack is so enchanting. My girlfriend was playing it the other day and one of the levels had such chilled out music I wanted to have a nap :P

And I know its ****360 but Halo has always had a great theme tune when Ive played they games on others consoles.

Engaging in the final battle with the Halo theme tune (rock version) is epic, especially Halo 3s last level.

hmm, I'm really not sure. Killzone had an OK soundtrack. Valkyria Chronicles has a pretty good soundtrack.

I've always liked the soundtracks in the Hawk games, espeically Pro Skater 2,3,4 and American Wasteland. I think they have a wide variety of music that I like, even if I don't know most of the bands really well.

Final Fantasy games always have really great soundtracks. The Lord of the Ring games also had good soundtracks, but that was because they used the movie soundtrack.

Lots of mention of the Mario Galaxy soundtrack.

Funny, I've played through that game and never really noticed the music.

Oh, anotehr one for me would be Shadow of the Colossus.

Ko Otani is a genius.

For me it's that medal of honor series in general. Some emotional stuff there.

Not sure if you would consider it a sound track...

But the Urban radio station in GTA San Andreas. They were always banging some good early 90s rap ;)
