I would be inclined to say free roam games. I honestly don't think I've ever gamed while drunk though, which is surprising to me considering how much I enjoy having a drink or 4 every now and then. :P I guess I just find better things to do.
Probably Rock Band. A friend of mine was playing Burnout Paradise online whilst under the influence and managed to set a Road Rule going backwards. So much for impairment... :P

GTA games... so much fun playing drunk with friends... pure laughter while punching random people in the streets or being chased by cops... i remember 1 time we when only for the old-looking ladies with a baseball XD .. OH MAI GAUD! GRANDMODERS KILLARZ! :P THAIR BRAINZ TO THE FLOORZ!

A night with my buddies on an MP like Halo 3, GoW2, or MW2 drunk or tipsy.. you call it. If i'm not gaming with my friends, then I'm probably playing a "beat'em up" game like God of War on God Mode, almost drunk, cussing out at the last boss, or yelling at the rotating wall of blades as I ascend. Or I just pop in a Wii game, jk jk!
Racing games are great to play while drunk. Until you get too drunk, then they immediately get frustrating :D But while nicely buzzed, they're a blast.
I don't think I can aim with a gun when I'm drunk, so I say Hack & Slash (GoW)... You just have to press the action button or block... Free roam (GTAIV) is a good option, too...
thats best when high lol i know that all fps games become harder when drunk lol =P but yea free roam/ rpg are the best when drunk, took me about 3 hours to figure out a puzle in final fantasy games XD and i didnt not know where the hell i was going lol as for fighting games and hack and slash thats best when hyper =D
GTA4 is really the only game I've enjoyed drunk. You can drive around, smash into things, run over people, shoot people, beat people, etc... As long as you are still coherent enough to put in the health cheat there's really no way you can mess it up! I tell ya what's not fun while drunk - Metal Gear Solid games. I was playing MGS3 with a half a liter of vodka in my system and man its hard to be sneaky when you can't even get your character to walk in a straight line. It sure is funny, though.
the only game i've played while drunk was super smash brothers and i did really bad. every though i was trying to play i think most of if not all of my deaths were from me fall off something. i think that and increadibly simple game like flower or little big planet would be best, i think rock band/guitar hero would be bad choices
I only tried gaming while (mildly) drunk once and it was too frustrating for me. I was playing Motorstorm, Buggy Byway, hardest race in the game and I almost beat it for the first time ever (apparently I'm a good drunk driver) when, at the very last ten foot stretch before the finish line I held down on the brake when I was trying to boost. Another car zoomed past me and I got second. I just dropped my controller and rested my head. Ended up passing out. That was two years ago and I still haven't beat that race. :P
I reckon something like Guitar Hero or Rock band is always good. Free roamers like GTA are also pretty fun because you can see who can survive the longest 5 Start police chase etc. Shooters are not good, I cant aim for poop when im drunk.
omg i just realised what would happen if you played one of those weird japanese dating simulator games while drunk? would it be like liquid courage and how far would you get XD hahahahahahaha
