Best multiplater ps3 game?

hey,

iam havin a friend over for the night and all i have is assassins creed, no multiplayer games. so we will go to blockbuster tonight to rent one, but what is the best multiplayer game? (not online but local)

Don't listen to the people saying COD4. It's virtually unplayable for two people because you can only play versus against each other so it will be 1 on 1 in maps that are too big so you'll spend your time just trying to find each other.

Get either a sports game or a game where you play through the campaign co-op split-screen together (the only one I know of is Resistance, but maybe RSV has this).

Also, the Playstation Network downloadable game Calling All Cars is incredibly fun for two people (costs about $10).

K, well... Ive never seen such incorrect comments from ps3 people in a single thread before. What are we? 360 fans? :p

But honesly. since when did Motorstorm have local online play? and when was the last time sombody actually had fun with COD4s offline multiplayer? and Unreal Tournament barely even has a single player mode let alone a multiplayer mode. Thats an online game...

Best local multiplayer would be Warhawk - Hands down. you can play online with up to 40 players, or you can play online with a local friend in your house as well (splitscreen online), or you can wirelessly system link.

Not to mention, the LPCM 7.1 Audio is amazing, and the graphcs and draw distance was just... ugg. :D

Most of all though, its a damn fun game.

Dont rent it - i mean that - Buy it.

After renting it, you'll just buy it anyway. Its also available on the playstation store for 40 bucks. Not a bad price...
